No, you missed my point. It obviously sucks that he threw that interception on a 3nd and 7 on the 40 yard line, but ultimately, it ended up not worse than a punt inside the one. You want to bench the guy because he lost grip and the ball came out of his hand funny. It wasn't like he threw the ball up for grabs to avoid contact or because he didn't know any better.

That's stupid logic. I don't care if it's third down. You get a four or five yard completion and you can attempt a field goal. You can't just give the football away when you're in Giants territory. That's possibly six points that were left on the board.

No, I get it, but he threw it. That's aa tight window. He certainly could go elsewhere with the ball. I think they share the responsibility. This is a time where a check down would be ideal.

Why are there no slant routes in this offense? They tend to keep the Def. honest, and it negates some blitzes.

Weed lacked the accuracy to make slant routes work so they go away from them. I don't know how well Cassel throws the slant but I would expect that he would be able to do it.

On the slant the ball has to lead the receiver and Weed would always throw right at or behind the receiver.

I think only the coaches know for certain if it was on the receiver or the QB.
