my family and friends were all Cowboy fans. They tried to rope me into their way of thinking and then at 12 yrs old I watched the ICE Bowl and jumped on the Packer bandwagon and have never gotten off. The ride has been as fun as I am sure you guys have felt being Cowboy fans. There are three teams in the league that can fill any stadium at any time. They are Cowboy fans, Packer Fans and Steeler fan. Maybe Oakland is a distant fourth but those first three teams are National Teams.
I am not obsessive compulsive except with the Packers. My wife knows that my during game time my space has to be clean, everything in order, 61 inch Samsung DLP TV angled to the comfy chair, no phone to be heard, cell phone put up, dishes in the dishwasher, and counters have to be cleared. She makes sure all that is in order when the game is on.
She really is as good as a football wife as I could ask for. Actually she is a great sports wife. As good as she is during football season, she is about as good during baseball season and being a Met fan, I can watch them at least 162 times a year. The closest she ever came to complaining was when we first got married. I asked to go with me to a sports bar to watch the Packers and on the way in she said, "The Things you do for love". She has hung on to that motto through our marriage.
