i agree....but i dont think that warrants to much BB material...if he said...."o i will lock him down" then i would be all over him too

Owens can't run routes as good as Holt.

Owens is alot bigger and stronger, and at this stage is alot faster

he just said he's ready and that he guards one of the best WR's in the game everyday in practice

I agree. Confidence and a short memory is the key makeup of CB. You must believe in yourself and you have to put bad plays behind you fast.

Or an oppertunity to make some plays aginst the Rams. I respect Holt even though he is no longer in the prime of his career. Bottom line though was regardless of Jenkins said anything or not will not change the fact that Bulger and the Rams offense is going to test him so he may as well come out confident in his ability to do the job

Bingo. I doubt Holt needs anything to help him beat DBs. I hope someone helps out to cover him.

I'm happy he is thriving for an opportunity to play and prove that he can, definitely. But, and this is a huge but, he needs to tone it down for his first start. Calling on a vet like Torry Holt is going to get your asss snuffed. Good luck Jenkins, I'm rooting for you but your chin deep in your own juices now pal.

IRVING - Cowboys rookie Mike Jenkins has a message for Rams quarterback Marc Bulger: Bring it on.

St. Louis is expected to target Jenkins Sunday when he makes his first NFL start at left cornerback. The first-round pick from South Florida replaces Pacman Jones, who was suspended indefinitely by the league Tuesday for his latest violation of the league's personal conduct code.

"I'm ready for it," Jenkins said of the Rams coming after him. "I hope they do, so I can show everybody I can play."

Yes. I love it. Cornerbacks need this mentality on the field and off the field. I like Jenkins' frame of mind. Jenkins isn't affraid of anyone. He's lined up this year against receivers better than Torry Holt this year.

What do you want him to say? "Man, I hope they don't throw it my way".

What is he supposed to say? I'm scared of playing? Give me a break guys. You all think that anytime someone says something it's a bad thing. CB's need confidence and I'm glad he's going into the game with it. I think he will be up to the challenge.

He didn't call anybody out, at all. Many believe T.O. to be the best receiver in the league and he's saying that he gaurds him so why should he fear anybody else? the answer is he shouldn't.

He obviously has confidence in himself and that is a good thing, now he just has to show everyone why he has that confidence.

As Jimmy would say if you are going to talk the talk then you got to walk the walk. In all the years Irvin was in Dallas he never shied away from talking about his ability and could trash talk with the best of them. I don't care what Jenkins or any of our players say about their ability to play the game I just care about them backing it up with their play on the field.
