I look at the Cowboys like I do my stock portfolio. At the end of the day, I've invested a ton of money in them (and continue to every year), I have a vested interest in them doing well, and when they don't, my investment isn't really paying off. Romo isn't THE problem, but he's certainly not THE solution. He's both the most overrated, and most underrated player in sports, there isn't much in between.

Well, if that's how you feel, just make sure you remember what you just said.

It sounds like you're only interested in getting into a pissing match of sorts with the whole "Romo-hater" talk. It's unfortunate that people don't respect varying opinions.

That's the only reason that these type of threads are made because nobody is changing anybody's opinion.

I never said he's the only reason but he is part of the reason.

Absolutely, he also just happens to be the QB of the most popular team in sports, who has a history of producing some of the best QB's in history, in a market with some of the highest expectations in sports.

Of course he is! Football is a TEAM game. Now, if you would realize that, perhaps you would not put all the blame on Romo...but, you and the others that cannot understand the concept of TEAM.always put the onus on Romo, and Romo alone.

Just remember that.

Not really sure what you're getting at. Are you now the Romo police or something? If the guy does well, he certainly deserves plenty of praise, if the guy makes a really bad play and throws away the division, he absolutely deserves to be criticized.

Perhaps I'm missing something, who is putting "all the blame" on Romo? I've yet to see anyone say: "Romo is the sole reason why the Cowboys have been nothing short of average over the past 8 years".

Right, Romo threw away the division, all by his bad self! The other players had nothing to do with it, huh?

Like Aikman would have said, "Get real..."

It was a really bad/ill-advised throw, there's absolutely no denying it.

I'm sorry but simply saying they had an easy schedule and that being the reason they went from 2-14 to 11-5 is just off. Not to mention they had a horrible running game as well. Luck was why that team went 11-5.

Luck was a part of the reason yes, but if you believe chuck strong had no connection with their success then that's foolish. Colts were sitting at 2-2 when chuck pagano got cancer, but after he was diagnosed and chuck strong came about, they finished 9-3. The chuck thing played a tremendous role in the reason why the colts finished the way they did, when stuff like that happens it inspires the whole team to play better. Also, it wasn't like Luck had this amazing season like I'm sure you believe.

Not sure what you're getting at, are you saying that the defense did a poor job in that game and deserves some of the blame? If so, I couldn't agree with you more. If you want to start a thread about the defense and their shortcomings in that game, I'd be happy to jump in. This particular thread however appears to be about Romo in particular.

You know, if Romo ever does win a playoff game or a SB, you are going to get riddled and all your hate is going to come back to bite you in the butt! And that goes for all the others that have that same opinion.

Dog him all you want, but don't come celebrate with the ones that believe in him.

smh...!

Really, riddled?

So all I hear from the All Romo All the Time set is "you're saying these things because you're a hater and want to say I told you so, later."

Enlighten me how your comment is any different, and you can't wait to rub someone's nose in it.

Not a Commander fan, an Eagles' fan, a Giants' fan.

But a fan of the very same team you follow.

It's your kind of thinking that I do not understand.

You value this player over the team, like so many others. Argue over and over and make snide remarks to fans of the same team you follow because they don't trust the guy.

Now you make threats to fans of the same freakin team.

I like Romo. I see his flaws and sometimes wish to discuss them because they are more important that this fan boy worship that goes on here.

Because the flaws COULD have an effect that stops the team from winning.

I bet when you read that you saw, I hate Romo.

Your comments go beyond the pale.

Like I said, if Romo and the team wins something of relevance...don't come sit at the dinner table.

The only reason Romo and the team lost that game was because Romo let Morris rush for 200 yards.

And yet how many times had the team come back in that game because of the guy you worship?

And how did any hope end for the team?

It was still the interception on an ill-advised throw.

The game was what it was because of the entire team. However, all hope faded when Romo threw that pick.

The ENTIRE TEAM lost.

Of course you don't...

No offense, but you appear to be interested only in starting something. If you wish to have a non-confrontational conversation about Romo, let me know, I'd love to talk.

And unfortunately, that final pick is our last memory of the season and Romo, and thus is going to be on everyone's mind all off-season; simple psychology.

Romo threw an INT, got it. And when he did that, a defender was in his face seconds after the snap! If only Romo could have blocked that guy.

Over a player that doesn't give a rat's butt about you.

Yes, it is unfortunate.

But that game, all hands were on deck and all hands lost the contest.
