Distraction is my main concern. I don't know the kid personally so, i will hold judgement.
I'm with ya brother. We be sailing on the same boat.
I really want to see Dan Quinn succeed, which means we succeed - but his entire stint in Dallas will be judged by this pick. There’s simply been too much discussion and second-guessing for it to be any other way.
I don’t know how you think the draft selections and what I said correlate but whatever.
This sort of realism truly beats the hell out of my idea that every year is our year.
Is there no real chance we all dance in the aisles one day?
Couldn't agree more. I couldn’t stand his dance. Lol
A lot of them seemed to be done at our expense.
Well that's where I jump off the Jerry hate train. Some people say you won't ever win with him. I think you can you just have to overcome him. You can catch lightning in a bottle and have a magical year. I just don’t think you can ever be a consistent winner with Jerry. Or Stephen, for that matter.
MM was also impressed enough with Nolan to hire him as DC
Two decades later - the Cowboys were universally panned for picking another OL player with the next-to-last pick in the 2013 draft because he was projected as a 2nd or 3rd round selection.
'ninja' - I echo your 2nd paragraph. There had to be some legitimate scouting and evaluation to choose 5 -7 guys out of 300 prospects in the latter rounds to come in get a shot at making the team. When a diamond-in-the-rough flashes...the jeweler needs to break out the best polish and tools to create a quality product.
I'm sure that's a big reason I despised it so much. It really was terrible though lol
1st rounders - great talent usually good character
2nd rounders - great talent either injury problems (Lee) or character problems (Gregory)
3rd rounders - good talent and more injuries or character
4th - usually flash player that’s not consistent.
5th-7th - prospects with upside based on sheer measurables. Production usually hard to assess either due to lack of opportunities at blue chip programs or inferior competition.
I was baffled with all picks between Parsons and Cox…but now appears to be that coaches were looking for players to fit a scheme. Hope it works.
I'm with you on scheme. The two 6'4" guys were so much of a push its development that is the bigger deal.
By the way , I don't mind to eat crow. I will find a way to season it.
This comment actually highlights one of the things I'm hoping to see at camp. I want one of them, don't care which one, to ball out to the point they get the job. I hope someone doesn't get it by default. I hope all of them play well and one still rises to the top.
You're probably not wrong. But, dang, I sure hope you are.
yeah lol..I'm not really counting him at all because he has already shown to be flighty. Not so sure he will be in the mix to start right away. Maybe down the line. I think to date, Nashon has proven to be more reliable...as they say, the best trait he has shown is availability. Thats a Parcelsism lol.
Bossman needs to live up to his self given title. He has a long way to go. Right now he looks like "lowman on the totem pole" man
