Chinese Finger Trap, I've not been able to get out of this since 2001 but on the bright side, Chou Len on the other end is a wonderful cook.
Thermos bottle, I keep trying to trick it with hot when it's thinking cold and vice versa and it always knows.
Caps that athletes wear backwards, who knew?
Naugahyde, but the Nauga's are now on the endangered species list.
Tampons with that little warning string lest you wander where you shouldn't when you shouldn't.

nyc, I am here to serve. And I came for the shenanigans as well. What a wonderful and descriptive word. If one had never heard that word before, they'd know there was some fun stuff about to happen the first time they heard it and it's always used in the plural making it ever so special.

Man, I felt for you guys that had to moderate that and knew most of you before you crossed to the dark side and I was always appreciative that y'all let me tiptoe back and forth across the line. BTW, where's OSF64? I need to forgive him for giving me a warning point, don't want him carrying that cross on his conscience much longer.......this is long enough. I also felt the job you guys did was not appreciated near as much as it should have been by the gen pop and those that ran the site.

He had no choice although I think he knew I was set up by a poster posing as more than one, a brother/sister act that a couple of bud posters clued me into after the fact.

I always thought it was amusing how some came to his defense as if he was family and others acted as if he'd stolen their wife and girlfriend. That left those of us in the middle watching the battles and they flat wore the forum down.

My friend, that was still home to a lot of us and some that we liked a lot still haven't made it over. Some of us felt that was family over there, as I do, but I do not miss all of the technical issues or Nurse Ratched but I do miss some members and some that have shown up, I do not see them participating as much here.

As far as friendships, yep, I think I got some slack over that but I tried to be friendly and even softened my approach to He Hate Me. Too often, there were flare ups between posters and justice is subjective. There were going to be unhappy results for someone.

Oh, were you back on the topic of invention? I thought you might have been overcome like I get some times and just need to shout that.

What I find interesting about Rock and Roll is how it splintered into Rock and Roll went country. All of those country riffs are retread's from the 50's and 60's. And the Blues splintered into Soul and Motown to replace the Roll in Rock and Roll and in the magic music time of the 60's, it was really Rock and Soul.

I don't play that "things were better in my day card" often but 60's radio was the best experience a young man could have witnessed. American Rock, British Invasion, Motown and Soul all existing within the format and more new artists and music coming at us than we could handle. Radio would improve with format specialization and FM and the Album Rock and Urban formats formed but that time in the mid 60's was better than even we realized at the time.
