I'm going with Danny White as well. For those who saw him play, you know just how good he was. And to think he was sitting behind Staubach for at least a couple of years where he probably could have started for most teams in the NFL.
Not to mention he was a punter too. I'd go with Danny White as well.

Chuck Howley...who else?

Very under appreciated by fans who don't really know just how great he was.

Judging by the Gil Brandt thread, Emmitt Smith.

Hall of Famer, Super Bowl MVP, Ring of Honor, selected for the Pro Bowl 8 times, College Football Hall of Fame, NFL MVP, 6-time All-Pro, and you think Emmitt never got his just dues just because of one online article that someone wrote?

I'd probably say Greg Ellis. A lot of fans will never give him his due because they're still bitter we drafted him over Randy Moss. I'm not defending that, Moss is one of the greatest talents to ever grace the NFL and we SHOULD have drafted him(and so should have the other 17 teams that passed on him), but Ellis was a very good base End for a long time and a key part to some excellent defenses in the early 2000's... especially after we added Glover up front to give him some help. It's just a shame those defenses will be forgotten because of how inept we were on the offensive side, it was pitiful. Coakley, Ngyuen, etc.... all in that same boat.

He'll never be a ROH guy, but I'd consider him in that next group of Cowboys that were key players during their tenure.

Though I have to say, his off-season comments about being misused during his last few seasons also have a hand in how he became under-appreciated by fans. Definitely rubbed some people the wrong way.

But mostly... He'll forever be linked to Moss, and that's the connection that will always plague his legacy.

For me there is far to many to name only one. Those teams of the 70's had just as much talent as those Steeler teams of the 70's. But those Cowboy teams dont get half the credit those Steelers teams do.

Current? Romo

Past? Quincy Carter and Antonio Bryant

What?

Also Coakley and Nuygen were over rated specifically by our fans. Decent players on bad teams.

Quincy Carter for giving us Romo
LaRoi Glover for being one of the best FA signings we've ever had
