Greg Ellis. It's still amazing to me how many fans turned on him towards the end of his career.

Crazy Ray, Danny White and Harvey Martin.

Tony Romo is very polarizing, so he gets too much and not enough at the same time. Of course his final chapter has not been written yet, so who knows how he will be judged.

It also depends on the perspective-media or the fans.

Quincy Carter for giving us Romo
LaRoi Glover for being one of the best FA signings we've ever had

Glover was good, but he did make the Pro Bowl every year and usually started, so he wouldn't jump to my mind as someone not getting his due.

They seem to do that to quite a few Cowboy players.

Deion Sanders.

Seriously. Dallas fans don't think of him as the best player in the history of the franchise. Outside fans don't necessarily place him in the top 5 or so players in league history.

John Dutton. He was our best D lineman to never get a Super Bowl. He had to sit out the '81 NFC Championship due to injury. If he could have played, I'd bet we would have won.

I strongly second Danny White. He got ripped off in the '81 NFC Championship. His "fumble" was not a fumble. It was an incomplete forward pass incorrectly ruled a fumble.

I actually think one of the better return guys we've had since I started following the Cowboys (2000) was Reggie Swinton

Yes, I think his touchdown was scored just 3 or 7 seconds into the game(?) and is the fastest score ever made to start a game in NFL history.
