Bob, don't read this post.

Ron Brace. I really do believe that the team will go nose tackle and slide Jay Ratliff to defensive end.

Bob! You peeked! :)

Who was that guy?

Theogt was so down on our draft.

The only pick I remember him being giddy about was the Tashard Choice pick.

Felix Jones and Jenkins about made him turn in his fan card. He also hated Chris Johnson with a passion.

I hope we don't draft Bomar. He is a moron.

If we don't go receiver early I would guess we will draft Quan Cosby.

Hes a hard worker and is a versatile player. He is also a local guy also.

If we go receiver in Rd 2 Darrius Heyward Bey really intrigues me.

The guy has so much upside and could be a beast at this level if trained properly.

He is this years Martellus Bennett imo. All the tools in the world but you just have to get it out of him.
Going against Hos' wishes, this is who my Terrapin heart wants us to bring in...but I don't think he'll slip to the 2nd round. I'm thinking ILB or WR with our first pick, so I'll go with D. Williams from PSU...quick, crafty, versatile...

How can we draft Bomar? That will mean that we have to keep 3 QBs, and I doubt with all of the talent that that is going to happen.

this is a good question.I dont see us drafting a QB now that Kitna is on board.we might go the Romo way and get a good UDFA prospect.I expect to see only 2 QB's on the 52 player roster.

we have 11 picks. There is nothing wrong with drafting a QB and grooming him to be an eventual starter, a quality back-up, or eventually trade him for a higher pick. Kitna isn't exactly young. Why not have a guy, learning the system, and then in 2 years when Kitna is done, we already have a quality #2 on our roster.

Michael Oher!!!

I know he will be gone by the time we are on the clock, but I'm hoping he falls and we move up and snag him.

We have the need, and depth at the position is thin. I know this is such a cliche, but "The game is won in the trenches".

I just don't know one guy to be honest.

This scouting crew is new and seems fairly able to avoid bias.

I think they actually will pick best available player by their own scheme standards and with so many teams moving to a 3-4 is it hard ot say the LBs will fall to be of great value.

I will go ahead and guess Jason Phillips tho.

With 11 picks we don't need 11 guys but we could use a 5th on Phillips stash him for a year on the PUP and then consider him a 3rd rounder the following season when he could be a backup and then a year after he could start over Brooking.

This scouting crew really does seem to crave value, regardless of position and they will draft multiple players at the same position if the value is right. I wouldn't be shocked if we grabbed two centers for instance.

Hong221 on Felix Jones

have you watched all of his games? have you looked at this guy besides his stupid 9 ypc avg? have you seen him break tackles and have good vision to see and utilize his blocks? the man basically out speed everyone in college and ran past tired defenses after a great back like mcfadden tired them out. come on, this man will not do the same in the nfl, look at reggie bush and how great he was in college! what happened when he went into the pros?

This one right here is the official draft thread. Pure comedy starting on this page.

...that you feel the Cowboys will definitely add in 2009. Not someone you want real bad. A player that you think is "destined" to be drafted by the Cowboys. The player you would bet 10 bucks will be drafted by the Cowboys.

I think there are two candidates I would consider heavily...Derry Beckwith, ILB, LSU and Rhett Bomar, QB, Sam Houston State.

I'll go with Beckwith.

Louis Delmas. I think he has raised eyebrows of numerous teams and would fill a need here with the Boys.

I think we are targeting WR Nicks but too much luck/work required to get in position. My choice is:

Louis Vasquez OG Texas Tech

Raw, strong second day lineman that just feels like a fit

i would like that ol' boy in Big D right thar.

:)

I'll say Max Unger C/G in the 2nd or Jasper Brinkley, ILB in the 3rd/4th

Love the Unger pick. Love it. And I get Jasper confused with his brother Casper. Which one is the freakazoid athlete?

I like it too, but I doubt he's there unless we trade up.

I think they like Sidbury Jrs. workouts. But i also think beckwith is a good possibility too.
