Name the one free agent we must sign this offseason and why?

So anyway it seems that Bentley is the clear cut favorite so far. I didn't expect many people to pick James or Alexander. I'm a little shocked nobody has said Reggie Wayne yet either, he would be another lethal weapon for Bledstud to pick from. But then again he's likely not going anywhere but Indy....

:bang2: Enough of the Bledstud stuff.... I'm very happy with Bledsoe being a Cowboy, but if I were Drew Bledsoe, I'd not like being referred to Bledstud 200x in a thread alone. So please show some restraint and just call him by his proper name, his initials or just qb#11 of the Dallas Cowboys... Enough with the petnames already... Thanks

Now as far as my pick goes. I chose Bentley.. We need to solify the OL and he'd be the way to go to start retooling that over the next few years...

I'd really like Vinateri as well. However I do see the wisdom of Nedney in being a smart and more economical investment...

If you believe that Harrington is a better QB than Godsoe than there's nothing I can do to help you.

bledstud couldn't hold Harrington's jock. Harrington has more poise, pocket presence, and overall talent than Bledsoe. It's time to get rid of him. This is a football team, not a retirement village!

Yep and he sure has showed it during his illustrious career with the Detroit Lions.

Of all the free agents listed, who would you select if you knew we could only sign ONE of them this offseason. Also why would you select him?

if we do nothing but bring in a top-tier kicker such as VIniteiri, I would be ecstatic, the rest would be icing on the cake, build through the draft is my motto, and afterall, we were a couple of kicks, wide-right/left, from going to the playoffs against a tough schedule, with alot going against us...

btw, don't like your choice of Bentley, RT is a bigger problem, and I'm not too keen on shelling out huge money to OGs, plus it's 70/30 that Bentley is franchised anyways IMO

Drew Brees? What has he done of note during his career except choke in a home playoff game?

excuse me, but what has Drew Bledsoe done of note lately? both have done nothing, but I'd take the younger, more mobile one

That may very well be a deciding factor, especially since the Browns are a young team looking to make a move under Romeo Crennel. Rumor has it that Buffalo and Miami are in hot pursuit of his services as well. But of all the teams listed, only one of them has a premier QB on their roster. Something tells me that Lecharles would be very tempted to snap the ball to a stud QB like Bledsoe if given the opportunity and money to do so.

dude, Bentley will go to whoever offers him the most money...

which won't be Dallas

noone has picked Wayne because he isn't goin anywhere

I could name plenty of them, but I don't want to cause any trouble so I will keep quiet for the time being.:zipit:

I've come to find that there are many juveniles that post on message boards, and it's best just to turn the other way so to speak and ignore their shenanigans. There are also many antagonists that get angry when you own them in a thread or outshine them with your intellect. I'm not a fish, but they can keep trying to bait me all they like.:angryno:

Man, you should be on Saturday night live....Bledsoe4MVP...

Has Bledsoe ever won an MVP ? I know Emmitt did, last Cowboy to have one, if memory serves me.

Tom Brady has a Superbowl MVP. But not a season MVP....And he took Bledsoe's job.

Just for fun, why don't you tell us all what Bledsoe would have to do this year to earn MVP honors.

My vote goes with Bentley. He could really be something else as the anchor for our team for years to come. We really need at least 1 big name Oline signing this offseason, too. If that doesn't happen I'll be disappointed to say the least, though it doesn't have to be Bentley.

Then part of me also thinks maybe we should consider bringing in one of the two RBs for a look and talk. I know I know it's not one of our greatest needs, and not even close to being a primary one, but dang would it be nice to have someone like that in the backfield. Also would bring us that much closer to a ring and take so much pressure off of Bledsoe. Might also be better paying that kind of money rather then going through another season as we collectively hold our breath for Julius and what injury he'll suffer this time.

2 Olinemen, a WR, and a RB, all gotten this offseason, could complete the puzzle. Sign Bentley and James, draft OL and WR in the first 2 rounds---if at all possible try for Reggie Wayne instead of drafting a wideout and then that pick could be used for FS or LB to satisfy you defensive-minded people out there.

Adam Vinatieri, Ryan Longwell, Mike Vanderjagt, Joe Nedney, etc...I really don't care which.

I think we all know why but if I have to spell it out...Cowboys make the playoffs in '05 with a real kicker.

No doubt about it. We need a kicker first and foremost. Sure we have some needs, but kicker is the highest.

Think about it....... We would have won the first washington game, the seattle game, and the Denver game with even a half-assed kicker.

And I"m sorry, but we would have beat the rams too had our bubble not been deflated 20 minutes earlier with getting kicked out of the playoffs. That would have put us at 13-3 and home field advantage in the playoffs including a bye.

Just think about that for a second. Going from not making the playoffs to homefield advantage in the playoffs, if we just had a decent kicker. That boggles my fricken mind.

ATTENTION JERRY. PAY THE FRICKEN MONEY AND GET US A DAMN KICKER.

NFL games are just too close nowadays to not have a money kicker on your team. Too many games are won and lost by 3 points or less.

GET VINITEIRI OR VANDERJACT OR AN OF THOSE OTHER KNUCKLEHEADS, JUST GET US A DAMN KICKER!!!!!!!!

I don't get it? Is this one of those 3-D laser prints with a hidden picture? ;)

BTW, I choose Deacon Moss....

it is just that you have so much of both that you make the rest of us look completely ignorant.

Not only is Bledsoe4MVP my early nomination for 2006 Troll of the Year but I think I'm starting to gravitate towards his sig as 2006 Sig of the Year. That Bledsoe pic is hilarious, even if it does give hints about the creator of the Bledsoe troll. ;)

I don't understand, what is this 'troll' business about? Just because I'm not sipping koolaid means I'm a troll. I'm a hardcore fan that tells it like it is and I'm here to talk cowboys football! And what do you mean about 'the creator of the bledsoe troll'?

As my good friend Juke is prone to say...

"If 3 people tell you that you're drunk, at least sit down."

What's the count up to on posters who think you're a troll? Your act isn't flying well here. It never will.

There is no 'count'...it's a just a few conspiracy theorists that think me and Nors are the same poster. I'm not here to be in a popularity contest, I'm here to talk football so I could care less what these fisherman think!
