Names Nick Harris hearing connected most with the Cowboys at 12

Fine with either.

WR is a need cause we got nothing after CDL-on his big deal.
DE we got potential after Parsons. Kneeland is a rook coming off injury and Williams, well, who knows at this point.

I'm not seeing a worthy DE or edge for that 12 pick. But I can see a Oline or guy like Graham. Plug and play dog if we pick Booker, Campbell, or Graham the dt stud. That dude Graham is all world. Booker is a fantastic leader and walks the walk. Nasty. Campbell is exactly the same. Id be just fine with any of them. The issue taking a wr at 12 is will that elevate the team in winter? Can we bully a team that way? I'm sorry, I want thugs in the trenches. I wanna beat folks up and impose our will. That's Cowboys ball.

Using the 12th pick on a #2 WR with the holes we have just runs me the wrong way.

Granted they know they have to figure out a way to get something out of Dak and at this point the only way to is just give him so much talent to help him.
I am guessing it wouldn’t bother you as much if we spent some money in free agency to plug other holes.

With Osa signed definitely need a top 1T to go with him (Grant or Williams) then draft one more DT later like Robinson, Peebles or Pegues). I want a stout Dline.

My bad. Should have had him in the already gone list.

However I would not take him over Tet Green or a healthy simmons.

I think they are all rated about the same spot and I believe I can get a better RB in the next few rounds than i can get a WR OT or DE.

But believe me, unlike some, I will not be mad if they take Jeanty...unless they pass on graham if he is there lol.
I can understand your thinking, but I don't know if Tet, Green or Simmons are in the same stratosphere as Jeanty. Some have them top 10 while others have them, at least Tet and Green, top 20 or lower. I just have trouble passing on a top-five player because of what I might can get later. I also expect him to be gone, though. I think it will be a little like the 2023 draft, where some were talking about Bijan Robinson possibly falling because RBs were being devalued, but not only was he taken eighth, but Jahmyr Gibbs went 12th.

I also don't want a WR at #12, but that's more a reflection of how the FO bungles resource allocation.

On any competent team, if a WR is the BPA at 12, you take him since it's a premium position.

But the Cowboys have relied so heavily on that draft for talent, that they need this pick to improve the trenches.

An active FA to patch (or preferably improve) areas of weakness would go a long way.

You can just about pencil Jeanty to the Bears.........Johnson is trying to duplicate the Lion's offense

Is it me or how did this Nick Harris guy suddenly become the Dallas insider? Nothing against him...I'm just wondering where he came from. Bizarre.

Nothing sudden or bizarre about it. Worked for the Cowboys as a writer and was on the draft show last year. Now covers the team for the DFW paper. Well connected to the HS and college recruiting scene. Knows his stuff backwards and forwards. Lucky to have him and Tommy IMO.

I like him. Saw him in the draft show. I like him the best of the bunch. Was just wondering how he is getting the scoopage so quick.

Iasha Morrison, how did she get on the draft show? Why? No hate, I'm just wondering what her sports background is. Her takes are interesting. Other times she seems like it's amateur hour. Maybe I'm just too crusty .

Go to the 29 minute mark. The two players he heard most connected with the Cowboys at the combine were Tet McMillan and Mykel Williams.

Sounds like an obvious smokescreen!
Tet is a possession receiver. You’d have to assume that Jerry was ready to give up on Mongo, when Mingo was acquired for the future (this year) as the possession receiver having a training camp with Dak. The fan base never seems to realize management isn’t ever as impatient as they are!

The team looks set to lose (2) 5 tech ends in Lawrence and Golston.
Exactly why would they take a 7/9tech end to sit 3rd string behind Micah and Sam Williams?

If this guy had said Burch, even in a trade down and depending on how much farther his stock rises before the draft then I could give this report some credence!

really surprised me, honestly. but i guess with the train of thought being floated that dt and rb are deep enough to address after round one actually kind of makes sense.
