I'm curious to see who Philly will take at #1. I haven't even researched who the injured prospects are, yet.
It seems like Simmons, they are talking him up... (see my sig :D).... but they're gonna do their do diligence with Ingram as well.

Being widely reported that the Lakers are entertaining offers for the 2nd pick. Who knows what they end up doing but I can see no reason why the Lakers would be making this known if they weren't interested in listening.

"Mitch Kupchak says the Lakers do not plan to trade the second overall pick"

Sure unless it's a so called superstar. But we know teams are gonna ask more than just the 2nd pick for one of those.

Paul George is the only person I would trade the 2 for, unless you can turn the 2 into Okafor & Jamal Murrary....
If you can't, might as well stay put....

Now one thing they can do is bluff the celts into giving up some assets and trade down 1, because I heard that LAL really likes Murrary.
(I do too)

I think Boston is the most likely trade partner, if the trade is about Picks. I mean, Boston has something like Three 1st and round picks and 5 2nd round picks this year. Then, they have three extra 1st over the next three drafts and 5 more 2nds in the next four years. They have a ton of picks and a lot of really decent talent on their roster already. They can afford to simply trade picks at way above the market value if they wanted to do that.

However, from what I have read, it sounds like The Lakers are more interested in Vet talent then young talent in a trade. I don't know which way they might go here but, I don't know if Murray is the guy. He's a guard so if you take him, he's going to have to beat out Russell and Clarkson for minutes. He's got a decent Jumper but he is not a very good assist guy. So really, he probably has to beat out Russell. I don't know if he can do that. I think the Lakers probably need a 3 more then a 2 but IDK.

yeh... murrary is a better offensive player than both guards the lake show currently have, but thats opinion.. he was killing his workouts, hitting 25, out of 27 3's in 2 minutes.. but i've watched a lot of him before college and at UK, so i think highly of him. The draft is right around the corner, so we'll see.. my guess is lake show go for ingram or end up with murray some how... if they go vet, PG, (don't think indy will trade)... but whatever they do.. stay away from butler... guy is good, but not elite...

I don't know Ron. I mean, he has a really good outside shot but I think he's just OK athletically. I don't think he's of the charts in that area but he's good. I mean, Russell didn't do badly last year. He averaged over 13 a game, a little over 3 RBs a game and over 3 assists a game in 28 minutes of play. Right around 123 shots a game so he actually had a pretty good season if you consider that a lot of shots were going to other players. Murray is probably a better 3 point shooter though.

Philly  The last thing they need is another overrated rookie on the team. They need to trade that pick for about 4 veteran players and get some real leadership on that team.

Explain to me please, the Simmons hype. I just don't see it. He seems to be a very passive offensive player. He also doesn't seem to be a strong defensive player. Yes, he has a nice all around game, but I have seen several flaws in the design.

IMO, if I am the sixers, I take that Ingram (or however you spell his name) from Duke. He is a much more polished player at this time. Also, he would give them combo forward who could potentially play a Boris Diaw role for the team. He can definitely stretch the D with his perimeter shooting, allowing Okafor and Embed to work the low post.

Lakers 2016 Roster:

G: Russell, Clarkson, Williams, Huertas
F: Randle, Nance Jr., Kelly, Brown
C: Hibbert, Sacre

These are the players I believe will return to the team for sure. That leaves 5 open spots available....Kobe and Metta will be gone. I see Black and Bass moving on. The big FA from the Lakers will be Swaggy P, and I see him going elsewhere.

No way Kelly, Hibbert and Sacre return. Don't need them, they have tons of cap sap space to fill those spots.

Coach Luke Walton is gonna run GState's uptempo system. Hibbert can barely run. He's slower than slow.

He is actually quite fast at ducking his head in the sand and hiding out during important moments of games though

Not that it matters but Simmons apparently wants to go to the Lakers. Russell and Simmons played together in HS so maybe this is driving this entire thing. IDK.

Simmons when he gets drafted by Phily and is under contract for 5 years, pretty sure will change his tune about playing for the Lakers. lol.
