5 more days until teams can verbally agree on contracts with players. Rumors should start to fly this week.

Celtics have been getting linked to Hayward all season. It makes sense on alot of levels, but I think he stays in Utah. Blake Griffin seems more likely to me. FWIW him and IT have started following each other on twitter.

There are rumors of them trading for George( with an agreement on a 3 year extention) if they land Hayward. However its likely media driven and seems far fetched to say the least. Media seems to have lots of fun guessing what the Celtics are doing these days

From the Bulls, I expect Mirotic back. Unfortunately, I suspect that it's going to be in the neighborhood of 3 or 4 years at $15M annually.

Personally, I'd let him walk. The point is to rebuild. Mirotic will take away minutes from Markkenan and Portis (who, like Mirotic, is strictly a 4.)

But GarPax have already announced their intention of keeping Mirotic.

Waive Rondo. Minutes should be going to Dunn, Grant, and Payne. In that order. There is no reason for anything else.

Not much point in keeping Rondo if you are rebuilding.

Are they gonna keep Wade or buy him out?

So a Laker fan who wants to play for the Lakers will sign a 3 year extension with the team most hated by Laker players and their fans? Ya that's obviously coming from everyone other than PGeorge.

Well, the reason you might keep Rondo is to simply have an NBA caliber PG on the roster. Could make evaluating someone like Markkenan much more difficult if Dunn, Payne, and Grant don't progress.

And, if you did opt him in, it's an expiring deal. Could take on a contract for an asset at the trade deadline. I don't think they will do this, but I would understand it.

As for Wade, I can't see Wade agreeing to much of a reduced buyout. He's due $24 Million. They could keep him on the roster for some veteran experience for the young guys to see. He actually doesn't hurt the tank effort given how inefficient he is at this point.

RealGM has an article saying Cavs, Nuggets, Pacers discussing three way trade. Love to Denver, George to Cleveland, and doesn't mention what would be going to Indianapolis.

Ive seen that. Ive also seen that Faried may be going to Cleveland in that deal as well. Ive hear Mudiay and Lyles may be amoung what they get. Probably a couple firsts as well

Once LeBron's anger over firing his GM subsides... and he realizes he is the GM anyway... PG ends up in CLE imho with a bought out DWade.
CLE ends up with a more GSW like team. Lots more offensive firepower.
This is why LAL was in on trading for George.

When has any player ever went to a free agent destination when that team was expected to win 30 or less games because it was his boyhood team?
All that to say, I think the PGeorge to Lakers thing is wayyyyy overblown.
PGeorge had no issues re-signing with Larry Bird as his GM in Indiana.
Once Indiana went into tank mode he made it known he would leave for 4 LA but that may well be just to force a trade to a power in the East as well.

Not that I believe he ends up in Boston but I think it far more likely he stays wherever he is traded than he gets traded and goes to a 3rd team in 3 years just to be a Laker.

The Lakers can be a real free agent destination of course but they've got to start winning first.

I actually believe Hayward goes to Miami.

Think Pat can pull that off somehow.
(Now watch him re-sign today with Utah)

Probably a bunch of picks from the Nuggets and Cavs. I can't imagine what the Cavs would be able to give them. The version I saw was a win for the Cavs and Nuggets. The Cavs would get George and Farried, and the Nuggets would get Love and Farried's contract taken off their hands. The Pacers better get a lot for that. I don't see what would possibly make them agree to a deal like that.

As boring as the NBA season can be with known Finalists, free agency is everything.

My guesses:
Blake Griffin: OKC
PG-13--via trade CLE
Hayward: Boston
CP3: Spurs
Most other big fish return to their teams.
But it should be a fun 4-5 days finding out.

I don't expect the Mavs to do much. Re-sign Noel, add a 13-15m guy. Re-sign Dirk.

Are they still in on Jrue?

I doubt it.
Rick said DSJ was the starter already and he hates young people so that seems an organizational direction.
Jrue isn't coming here to be a back up.
Team may play it close to vest this year in FA and then plan for bigger fish next year.

I think the team ultimately decided the big fish they missed on were strokes of genius: DWill, DeAndre, DH12.
While the lesser guys they signed have been more valuable, better assets than the big dogs. Seth Curry and such versus say Chandler Parsons.

Mavs would like to move Powell and Devin Harris I believe but those guys aren't worth much and probably have more value as rotational pieces then trade worth.

Mavs were fun to watch last year once they ditched the semi-retired Bogut and D-Will. I'm all for more of that fun, exciting brand of basketball and making a new playoff string.
But they aren't nearly a contender and given that looks like a true 2 team race I'm fine with that.

I'd gladly take Aldridge as long as the Spurs are willing to give up a couple of future first rounder. They likely will be 27+, but could help NY make some deals down the road.

Apparently the Celtics rumored deal for George is the Lakers/Kings pick + Crowder and comes with a 3 year extention if they sign Hayword

https://www.___GET_REAL_URL___/nesn...cs-offer-to-pacers-for-paul-george-trade/amp/

So in this they would keep Brown, Tatum and the Nets 2018. And have George locked up for 4 years

Another much less sexy rumor for the Celtics is they will pursue Danilo Gallinari if they lose out on Hayward or Griffin.

I see this as the most likely out come of FA for the Celtics
