PG-13 to Cavs still seems likely to me once LeBron cools off.

Hayward is intriguing. Boston seems likely to me.

Im counting on them losing Hayward. Utah isnt a bad team and they can offer him the most. Word Griffin is there first fall back. Better talent and he fits a need for them, but so risky with his health. Im expecting Gallinari though

I've generally seen players all sort themselves into a handful of elite teams.
If that holds I think Boston holds more appeal than Utah.
Hayward is from Indiana and I'm guessing he has zero issues playing in the East.

I believe Griffin goes to OKC. It's his home town plus college town(well Norman is essentially a suburb) and he can play next to Russ in a PNR offense for the most athletic duo in all of basketball. Russ is an MVP obviously.

I think Hayward is most likely with Gallinari the true fall back.

But the best week in pro sports is on going. Everyone hang on for WOJ Scoops.

OKC is definitely going to have to be aggressive to keep Russ in the fold long term

An sign and trade fell through with the Celtics and 76ers for Amir Johnson. The 76ers were gonna send them Jahlil Okafor. You know you are not well thought of when your name comes up in a sign amd trade for Amir Johnson.

Makes no sense why Sixers would send them Okafor. Why help the Celtics at the C position for the long term?

To expound more and to not just purely trash Okafor, who does have obvious talent:

For an intirior 5 he is a very weak rebounder and a liability defensively. He has good post skills, but his range is not what you want an NBA 5 to be nowadays. He also strikes men as a guy that wont put in the work to improve significantly. What he is now is what he may always be.

I think he would be a good add for a high lottery team that has the minutes to showcase him and see if they can move him for a better haul then what they gave up for him. Or if Im wrong about his desire to improve could be a cornerstone player

As for the Celtics, wouldnt want that move. Ante Zizic, who is coming over, would be likely to get more minutes with his defense and rebounding

How many games do the Timberwolves win this year?

I think they win just north of 50. Have the lookings of a 4/5 seed in the west

They are interesting, that's for sure. In a vacuum, Teague provides better outside shooting than Rubio. But he's a low volume shooter from behind the arc. Millsap would have done the same, they could have kept Rubio who is a brilliant passer and a much better defender than Teague.

Millsap as the stretch 4, gives KAT slave to work inside, lanes for Butler and Wiggins to slash. JMO.

And its good to see them relevant. I hate watching these small market teams spend a decade plus in sheer irrelevance like they have post KG.

Adding Millsap would make them a very talented team. I still think they could use a true perimeter threat at one of the G positions

Some Celitcs thoughts:

-If you strike out on both Hayward and Gallinari, I think they should use some of there space on Tyson Chandler on a short term deal as a rebounder, defensive anchor rim protector. Ante Zizic is coming over and is highly thought of, but I dont know of he is ready for the minutes he may need to play

- Chandler would allow for heavy playing time for Jayson Tatum at 4 in Amir Johnsons place. With no Hayward or Gallinari I could see 25 to even 30 minutes a game from Tatum. Chandler would make that much more doable on the defensive end. KO may still be brought back as a stretch 5.

No one is giving up 2 unprotected lottery picks for him (namely Celtics).

Unless the Celtics land the #1 pick again next year, AND Michael Porter Jr. ends up being Kevin Durant, it's hard to say that Porzingis isn't worth Tatum + next year's #1 from BKLN

That fact that he's cost controlled for the next so many years, really makes it a no brainer, unless you are assuming they land Porter and he becomes Durant.
