NBC football show to reunite Patrick, Olbermann

i love it....it was the best pairing of all time on sportscenter. they balance each other out very well. however, 5 people is too much on that show. get rid of bettis at least.

Sports is not the place for political agendas--and that's what Olberman brings. He would rather talk about politics or himself than sports. Aren't we entitled to dislike that?

I was just speaking to dbair, he said Olbermanns agenda was b/s, thats all I was having a problem with man.

Oh great more Olberboring on Sunday nights. Seriously they could team that guy with a pillow and the pillow would be more engaging now.

:laugh2: that is great, I hated Sunday night games last year.

There was nothing unacceptable about the post you quoted.

well first he made two posts, the first the moderators deleted and as for the second post; yes, saying Olbermann's agenda is b/s is unacceptable. That is a blatantly partisan comment and has no place here.

I happen to like Olbermann but I can't stand Dan Patrick. He has the most boring radio show ever.

Yep. I enjoy Olberman.

I like Dan Patrick. He had his moments on espn radio where I just would turn it off but overall I like Patrick.

There are alot of people on this show. I dont understand why barber and bettis need to be there. Collinsworth is already there, what is the point in barber and bettis.

Like I said, what dbair said was fine. He didn't discuss the man's politics. He said he didn't like how Olbermann would insert political commentary into his sports commentary. So his second post was an acceptable response.

I'd suggest that you leave it alone at this point.

Back in the old days I loved Patrick and Olbermann. Patrick is still OK but Olbermann seems to have changed and now I don't care for him as much.

Olberman has become a weirdo to me when it comes to politics, but I'd love to see him and Big Daddy Dan back together. That would be awesome.

Olberman really has become a weirdo though.

I don't think there is any member of of NFLN, or ESPN especially that would have appeased everyone.

Who cares what the guys thinks on politics. Can he provide a good sports broadcast?

Not a big fan of Olberman at all. He thinks a little too much of himself and seems to think that anyone who has a different opinion than himself is ********. Politics aside, I just think the guy is condescending and rude. I like sports to be about sports and nothing else.

Dude, seriously, dont comment on other people's articulation when you write like this:

"every segment he come on"
"when I listed to Patrick's show"

I dont like being a spelling and grammar cop, thats annoying, but if youre gonna say someone isnt articulate, go back and check your writing first.

dbair's articulation is only relevant if we're talking about him hosting a tv sports show. Which we aren't. So it's not.

Olberman is an overbearing know-it-all who's in love with the sound of his own opinions. We get enough of that on this board. This has absolutely nothing to do with his politics; he's just not a good sports commentator. It's a shame, too, because he is a very intelligent guy and is perfectly capable of contributing relevant commentary if he can just bring himself to do it.

David, did you not notice that the moderators removed your previous anti-liberal comments? This is not the place for your personal agenda. Go to google groups if you want to do that.

nor is it a place on sports radio or TV, which is why I hate the guy

it is b/s...if he wants to be a raving lunatic on MSNBC great, but he needs to keep his piehole shut when he comes on to talk sports...he's a total boob

apparently your issue is the fact that I dont like the guy...sorry, but he is what he is

It's b/s because he uses a forum that has nothing to do with politics...the VAST majority of people dont like what he did when he came on ESPN Radio and spewed his junk, and thats why he had so many of those "vacations" as Patrick use to refer to them...

like I said if he wants to be a liberal and tell everyone about it thats fine, but he needs to do it in the right places...sports talk is not the right place

and he wastes people's time by insterting his own b/s political agenda into virtually every segment he come on...when I listed to Patrick's show on ESPN Radio that last hour was unbearable as Patrick would start off talking sports and Olberdung seemingly always only wanted to talk about his quip with Bill O'Reilly, and then spend the rest of the segment taking shots at him.

And on your comments above, his "great speaking voice" is about the only one thats true

David

I don't recall once hearing Olbermann bring in politics on the Sunday Night Football show last season. His worst person in the NFL segment was horrible, but hardly political.

I never watched him on there so cant comment...but I did listen to Patrick almost everyday on ESPN radio and it was rare that Olberman came on w/o doing his political mess

Please tell me you are kidding, right? The guy is a blithering pompous windbag full of hot air and is one of the all time worst people on TV.

I think this would be a perfect studio lineup if they could get rid of Costas, Barber, Collinsworth and Bettis.
