^This. Absolutely.
If Chuck Howley played ROLB for Pittsburgh he would have been inducted years ago. He was better than Robinson. I don't like crying "anti-Cowboys" bias, but in the case of Howley (and possibly Drew Pearson), something is terribly amiss.
Ok, I'll bring it up. If Lawrence Taylor got in on the first ballot, T.O. certainly shouldn't have any trouble. Yeah he was a knucklehead, but he never was in any kind of trouble (drugs, DUIs, shoplifting, DV, etc.) The guy is one of the best WRs ever in my opinion. He shouldn't be punished for his personality. Another example is Warren Sapp.
not enough Cowboys on the list

Oh yeah, this guy too!

Favre is a lot more qualified than Owens, simply because of his status as an icon for this generation. That said Owens deserves it on his own merit, just from a pure production standpoint.
One person I do NOT want in there is Tony Dungy. Cannot stand that zombie.
Terrell Owens does not get in. His numbers don't mean jack because they didn't accomplish jack.
Terrell Owens was a destroyer of teams. His actions hurt far more than his numbers helped. He was a selfish, pouty little "B".
LOL! What? LT was one of the five greatest players to ever step foot on a field. If he didnt make it first ballot, there was no point to have a HOF. TO not remotely in LTs class and I dont care about off field.
Witten and Ware are the next best candidates.
Witten seems like he is a lock, although he might have to wait a few years.
Ware needs a couple more 10+ sack years.
Kevin Green is still sitting there on the outside looking in with his 160 sacks. Not having a championship as well as being something of a NFL vagabond he kept him out so far... although I suspect he makes it this time.
