NBC Trumps Fox / Ohio St vs Florida in NC

That is criminal,
EVERYONE KNOWS that Florida couldn't stay within 20 of Michigan, let alone Ohio St. People are voting based on the fact that they don't want a rematch and some voters don't want a rematch because of marketability to the rest of the country.
That is sickening.
Florida will lose by 20+
at least give us an AND 1 game. Pathetic.
There is NO SPORT on the face of the planet that chooses its champions based on anything other than a tournament, let alone some cockamamie computer system that is fed numbers by people with agendas.
Its a crime against the greatest sport in the world, and a crime against humanity

It was not ESPN or NBC who deserves credit. They both cited the LA Times, so hence the LA Times and their source deserves credit.

Yep I heard ESPN radio earlier in the day say that the LA Times was reporting this also.

Well if FOX wasn't taking FOREVER to actually do it.

Right, they got to have the drawn out dramatics...just do a 5 minutes deal, and it's done.
Props to NBC...thanks, now I can stop watching.
My team...Ohio State...playing another team I like...Florida. Wish it could have been Texas, but I'm happy.

Thanks for the info.

Neither Michigan nor Florida deserve to be in the BCS championship game but since Michigan already had their chance then they were right in giving Florida their chance against Ohio St. Doesnt really matter though, Ohio St beats either one

Yes, it is criminal. Michigan suffered because they diddnt play this week while Florida beat a very mediocre Arkansas team. I dont want to hear about the strength of the SEC ever again when a team without a QB can make it to the championship game.

have you forgot how close the Michigan was game was?
if not for that penalty
if henne doesnt overthrow manningham
if they recover the onsider
3 game changing plays michigan had go against them, if they get any of those the outcome is very different

i wanted a rematch on nuetral turf :bang2:

Quit your iffin and man up. You lost. Again. To Ohio State. 5 of 6. Tressell owns you, and so does Troy Smith.

But if you're going to if....what if Troy Smith doesn't overthrow a TD to Ted Ginn?

What if the refs wouldn't have called that bogus interference call toward the end of the game to give Michigan another shot?

What ifs go both ways. Get over it.

I think this is rigged! michagan was onviously the secound best team

i think it is rigged so insted of michgan losing a championship game they WIN a bowl game
and ohion has no chance of losing so they get a easy championshop game

i tell you it is rigged just like the nba draft

Michigan was clearly the second best team in the nation.

That being said, it's been fun waiting and watching who will have the pleasure of losing to OSU.:D
Florida had more (and better) ranked wins. And actually won their conference, which was the toughest conference in the nation.

I'd like to see Michigan come through Tennesee, Alabama, Georgia, LSU, Auburn, and Arkansas unscathed.

It's already been shown Florida had the toughest schedule in the nation. Michigan had the 3rd. Not much difference.

Like I said, it'll be a pleasure watching the champion from the 'toughest' conference in the nation get their pants taken down by OSU.

Toughest conference in the nation can put a team into its conference championship game who's best passer is a WR.

I'm not sure if you noticed or not but Arkansas was pretty good this year. Good defense and arguably the best RB in the nation. If they had even a decent QB they would be in the NC game.

They got destroyed by USC. Destroyed.

They diddnt have anyone resembling a QB, I dont understand how Florida winning that game can put them ahead in the polls. It really wasnt impressive.

Atleast ND will keep up its impressive streak of getting owned in bowl games.

McFadden was out of that game. Not saying they would have won, but they wouldn't have lost badly.

Re: Florida. They're ahead because no one wants to see Michigan lose again. I probably wouldn't have even watched that game.

But they didn't, and lost 3 games. It is what it is.

OSU/Mich/Wisc went 34-2, finished 1-3-7. I don't need to hear about the best conference when Arkansas with all their losses is the best you can offer up in support.

Fox has the BCS show.

NBC just announced Gators and Buckeyes in Championship.

Michigan & USC in the Rose

LSU & Notre Dame in the Sugar

So what is the difference between the Championship,Rosebowl,OrangeBowl...etc.

It it like the playoffs? I dont understand how it works....
