ESPN is reporting that Johnny Football is being investigaed by NCAA for Autograph Payments. If true, he's done for next season at least.

Hopefully, this puts the nail in his Cowboys coffin. Never wanted him irregardless if this is true or not.

I doubt that it would prevent the Cowboys from taking him if the right situation presented itself. Would probably only make it more attractive as the chances of him costing a 1st or even 2nd round pick are next to none now.

True but the guy has character issues from I have seen/read about. He is always in the news and not for anything positive. Looks like a smug little twerp to me :D

I agree but that doesn't mean the Cowboys wouldn't draft him, especially if, as has been reported, Jerry likes Johnny Football.

This dude appears to be on a crash course for dumbsville. Every week it seems he is making headlines for the wrong reason which cannot be good for his draft position. I like Oregon's Mariota better as a person and a player.

As much stupid crap as I pulled being a young broke nobody I'd hate to think what I'd have done being in his shoes.

If it's true and the NCAA does suspend him for a year, it sets up the interesting scenario that it may be in his best interest to go back to school and play college ball the following year, instead of entering the NFL draft following an off year.

anyone really think the NCAA is going to touch the returning Heisman trophy winner from the $EC?

I have no doubt that they will. The investigation will take about 8 years but believe me, come 2022, the Aggies are going to have to vacate their 2012 wins. ;-)

Hell it is probably in his best interest to be suspended this season in terms of draft stock. He has been built up so high and now its time for the media tear down. He would have to have an all world season to not get ripped to shreds. If he gets suspended he will still be a top 10 pick.

If he gets suspended this year you can bet he transfers, A&M would do well to move on without him after all this.

Literally nothing will come of this. The NCAA has been at this since June, A&M apparently already conducted their own internal investigation and found nothing and nobody claims they saw any money ever exchange hands.

This sounds like the NCAA rattling their sabers after the Miami fiasco.

I would be shocked if he were a Top 10 pick, even without all the stupid stuff he's done.

I doubt he would transfer. If he did, he would still have to sit out. I'd suspect he might just try and enter the draft as soon as possible.
