In the end, Georgie pulled an Oklahoma. Oklahoma got conservative at the end against Georgia, and it came back to hurt them.
Georgia pulled Chubb and Michel out in the series prior to Alabama missing the field goal. They got away from what made their offense click.
Because they weren’t having any success running the ball cause Bama slammed it so you try something else.

But if you take both backs out, Bama plays the pass, which is what they did. You mean Michel can't beat a Bama linebacker in the passing game?

Obviously he couldn’t tonite.

We all knew Bama defense had ability to shut them down.

Great game, I just hope Da'ron Payne didn't play himself out of our range. He's been my target since September, but his performance throughout the CFP may have cemented him as a top 10 selection. One of the best DT prospects in the last few years. Freakish combination of power and athleticism, only 20 years old, haven't seen raw upper body strength like that since Suh.

The snap he brings with his hands is special, rare prospect.

Well, he was doing pretty good when he was out there. And most of the commentators seem to think the same thing, i.e., that Georgia pulled back on using Michel, who was making yards with limited holes.

How does the Georgia corner get flat footed like that on 2nd and 26?

That was just terrible!
it was the SAfety's fault....G was disguising a two-deep zone; right at the snap, the corner sprinted to get outside pressure on the WR to take away the out, knowing he had the safety deep. He executed his part. But the freshman QB knew what they were playing and looked the safety off to the right...the safey fell for it and drifted that way, leaving the receiver wide open.

That freshman QB is so much better than Fromm from G that it's not funny....He can really spin it. High velocity, excellent accuracy, and very smart with instincts. He threw some NFL passes, anticipation on his first TD, throwing it when the guy wasn't even there yet. Some of his best passes were incomplete ones the receivers didn't bring down, but he was forcing it downfield into coverage and placing it perfectly where only his receiver could get hands on it. Extremely impressive QB. Saban knew he had no chance to win the game running the ball and Georgia was taking Hurts runs away. Hurts is not a QB...he's the typical Bama QB who runs with quicks and power and throws when guys are open. He made the only decision he could to give his team a chance to win...go to the passing QB.

And to throw his arms up as if he was expecting help the whole way...Dude...your in man coverage...w/ safety over the top help...The guy that just caught that winning score for the national title...was your dude. Take some responsibility. He ran right by you...:omg:
Wrong...not man coverage...that was the disguise, it was a zone with 2 deep safeties. He sprinted to the outside of the WR immediately. The QB kept his eyes to the right and the safety fell for it. his only job was to cover deep on his side.
