Have you watched the HBO documentary, BATTLE FOR TOBACCO ROAD: DUKE VS. CAROLINA? It's really good.

I saw that not long ago and it was great.

I caught just the end of it maybe a week ago. I will probably try to watch that this weekend but yeah, it looked like it was probably good.

I guess I didn't need to flip, but seriously what's justifiable about your Duke hate? Is it the students? The continued success? Or how about their class act coach, who just helped your country regain it's place as best in basketball? Both of my parents graduated from Duke university, so I've grown up a die-hard; but the hatred is something else.

Let's put it in terms you guys can understand, it's like the confusion with why everyone hates the Cowboys. Obviously, it's envy. Envoius of the successes we've had, envious of the beautiful new stadium, envoius of the triple-D blondes that roam the sidelines wearing blue "rags" for shirts? It's envy.

Mizzu played one hell of a game and were the better team. They deserved the win. I hate to see Anderson and Dozier go. They have been the glue the last 4 years. It will be interesting to see who can fill their shoes.

But it wasn't all bad. Duke lost also.

You think Evans is a goner? I was very impressed with his game. I hadn't seen him play much but he's got some serious handles and can get to the hoop anytime he wants.

I hope to hell he stayes, because the big-time recruit John Wall is apparently making his decision between Duke and Memphis based on whether Evans stays or goes-- it's supposedly "if Tayreke (sp?) goes, I'm with Memphis, if he stays- I'm with Duke".

As with all of his players Cal tells them if they are certain to be picked in the first round to go and not look back. I'll be shocked to see him come back.

I am an Arizona Wildcats fan. They are in. I don't think they deserved it at 19-13. 25 straight years they make the Dance. I think it was tradition more than worth.

Who would I put in instead? St. Mary's or Auburn.

It's my team, and I am thrilled they are in and I think they can cause some damage to their bracket, but I think if they missed the Dance no one would gripe about it other than some of my myopic fellow Cats fans.

They are a good pick as your 12 over 5 pick because that happens every year, but I wouldn't have them going much further than that. I hate saying that.

Three Big East teams are #1 seeds? Naw, Memphis should have been one of them over UConn. Not saying UConn isn't a great team, just think Memphis got the shaft a bit.

Earlier this year I went out on a limb and predicted North Carolina would go undefeated as the National Champ. They were returning their top 6 players. They lost one of them in Ginyard. They were without ACC player of the year Lawson in the ACC tourney or they are probably 30-3 overall. Those 3 losses blow my mind, but it does speak to how good the NCAA is. I went out on the limb, I will stay out there. I pick them to win it all.

Player I most want to watch this year? Griffin of Oklahoma.

IMO Thursday and Friday of this coming week are the best sports days in the whole year when you see some Cinderella upsets in this tournament.

I don't think you'll ever see a team play harder than MSU tonight. With the hard times there, they feels like they are the hope of thier entire state.
It will be nuts.
UNC will have to try to come close to matching that intensity, and then hope the talent takes over.

Bill Self is recruiting this guy pretty hard as well. I think Duke has more then just Memphis to worry about but I think he is from Carolina so Duke may have the inside track on him. Have to see. Kenutucky has also offered him a scholarship, along with Duke, UK, Miami, Baylor, Memphis, Miami and NCSt. He lists UNC but no offer has been made by them.
