I am an Arizona Wildcats fan. They are in. I don't think they deserved it at 19-13. 25 straight years they make the Dance. I think it was tradition more than worth.

Who would I put in instead? St. Mary's or Auburn.

It's my team, and I am thrilled they are in and I think they can cause some damage to their bracket, but I think if they missed the Dance no one would gripe about it other than some of my myopic fellow Cats fans.

They are a good pick as your 12 over 5 pick because that happens every year, but I wouldn't have them going much further than that. I hate saying that.

Three Big East teams are #1 seeds? Naw, Memphis should have been one of them over UConn. Not saying UConn isn't a great team, just think Memphis got the shaft a bit.

Earlier this year I went out on a limb and predicted North Carolina would go undefeated as the National Champ. They were returning their top 6 players. They lost one of them in Ginyard. They were without ACC player of the year Lawson in the ACC tourney or they are probably 30-3 overall. Those 3 losses blow my mind, but it does speak to how good the NCAA is. I went out on the limb, I will stay out there. I pick them to win it all.

Player I most want to watch this year? Griffin of Oklahoma.

IMO Thursday and Friday of this coming week are the best sports days in the whole year when you see some Cinderella upsets in this tournament.

I haven't followed NCAA basketball very closely this year watched a bunch of UNC games cause of the team they have this year so that's going to have to be my pick

I'm glad my Cardinals pulled out that win last night. Now they need to keep playing defense the way they have been.

BTW did the Kentucky Wildcats get into the tournament? I figured they couldn't get in unless they won the SEC tournament, and since they lost Friday night I thought that would put them out, but a sportscaster here said they still had a chance after that loss.

I got busy with school work and forgot about the bracket seedings today.

**Edit: Nevermind I just saw the news and they said the Western Kentucky HIll Toppers made it (12th seed) and UK did miss the tournament.

Well, I'm Carolina fan from way, way back so that's who I'm pulling for. I think UCONN and Pitt are deserving of #1 seeds. I don't love Louisville but hey, they won the regular and the tourney so what are you gonna say?

I think Kansas will come out of the Mid West but I think they will be challenged by Wake.

I think UCONN will come out of the West and I really don't see a lot to challenge them in the bracket, other then Memphis.

I think Pitt will come out of the East. I don't think Duke matches up well with UCONN at all. In fact, they better be careful with Texas. Texas has a strong front line and Duke doesn't have much on the baseline.

I like Carolina in the South but I think the Orange might be a tough out and it would be a very good match up to see Griffin and Hansbrough go against each other.

Really? Why?

The other 3 lost in their conference tournaments early on. It's not like they lost in the finals. Yes we are in a lower conference but we are #3 in the nation and have won 25 straight plus being #3 in the polls. We should not being penalized because of our conference. We have tried to get in a better conference but got turned down because of our football program.

are we gonna do a CZ pick 'em league?

It's not an official CZ league but I have one that I started. There are a few people from here in it. The details are in the FFZone.

You're putting way too much stock in conference tournaments. You don't get a number one seed for what you do in 3 days. You get it for your overall body of work. All those teams deserved number 1 seeds. Louisville's resume is probably the worst of the 4 number 1's due to their loses to Western Kentucky, Notre Dame, UNLV and Minnesota. Yeah two of those teams made the tourney but those 3 losses make you scratch your head and say how the heck did they lose to those teams and still get a number 1. Usually teams in their position have 1 maybe two questionable losses but 4? They also didn't have to play at Pitt or UConn.

Then Bobby Knight is right.....why have conference tournaments if they don't mean anything?

I kind of agree with Knight. I watched these conference tourneys especially in the big conference and was thinking what is the big deal about going all out in winning the Big East, ACC, Big 10 conference tournament especially for teams that were already in and had their seed cemented. They won't eliminate conference tournaments because you will have teams like USC and Miss st. get in because of them and the lesser conferences need at least one team for an auto bid.

Well, I think that maybe you can say that for Pitt or UCONN but I don't think you can say that about Carolina. Carolina lost by 3 in the Semifinals of the ACC conference without the ACC player of the year in point guard Tye Lawson. If he's there, I think you can make a good case that they win the ACC Tourney. They are already the ACC Champions. I mean, I guess you can say that they lost late so maybe you make the case but they are 28-4 coming into the tourney with losses to BC at home 85-78, Wake away 92-89, Maryland away, 88-85 OT and FSU this past weekend, Neutral Site 73-70. All are NCAA teams. I think they deserve a #1.

I am, that is true.

Let me ask you, if not UCONN, Pitt, Louisville and UNC, who would you say should have been the 4 top seeds?
