Looking forward to seeing how he's progressed while on the practice squad. Obviously, more of a 3-tech player at his size, but might get some time at the nose in certain packages, such as three-man line against the pass.

I’m definitely interested in seeing Neal play.
Also interested in seeing how Collins holds up playing a lot of 1tech...or are we going to see Ash play 30+ snaps a game?

Let's see if all the GM's on here are right, and this guy can play. :muttley:
But I agree, I think he can make some plays.
What i think is key for him is being inserted into what is already a monster pass rush. He should get plenty of opportunities to have single blocking to show what he can do. I imagine he’s a lot stronger since we last saw him, too.

It definitely seems like they like what Collins is doing at the 1-tech given this decision.

I would have preferred a bigger defensive tackle in that spot. I hope they're right.

Depends a lot on Ash, who I think has played pretty decently with limited snaps. Collins is the starting 1-tech at around 300 pounds, and Ash at around 320 is the backup there. If Neal gets any snaps, it will likely be on passing downs at NT or run downs at 3-tech.

We're not hearing his name as much because of the positions, but I do think he's handling playing there well. Everyone wants to give all the credit to Lee for better run defense, but some is due to moving Crawford to right end, Irving's play at 3-tech and Collins adjusting to 1-tech. Lawrence already was playing great, so he was never part of the problem.

Oh yeah, they're definitely not playing Neal at NT. I think he's out there only for passing downs.

And less blown assignments from Mayowa being on the field less too. But I agree with you, I think all of those moves are contributing to the improvement we're seeing.
