Sorry I hate to say it but I dont think Zach Thomas will last half the season without a head injury. This guy is old and banged up,I really disliked getting this dude except for his lockeroom presence. But couldnt we just have gotten like Charles Haley to be a locker room cheerleader or something.lol.Also I see Glenn trying to make it another season and costing us a roster spot cause we know he will not last.Other than these two bumps I see a nice positive draft coming!:D

He's not a doctor but he plays one on TV. Actually, he consulted his Magic 8 Ball.

Zach Thomas will completely surprise you dude!!

Glenn IMO will get released if Dallas gets a vet WR via Trade (RW, Aq B).

I agree that is a concern. Too often after a player comes off a major concussion as Thomas did the chances of running into concussion problems does increase. This has been reported by many doctors regarding NFL players over the last few years and we as Cowboy fans know this well when going back through the problems that started to occur with Aikman and even further back with Roger. Playing MLB there is no way he can avoid contact so for me this is a concern. As for Thomas ability to play the game I don’t question as for his heart to play the game I have no questions but concussion are a concern and the NFL rules regarding it is much stronger.

I'm not a doctor but doctors have spoken about this quite a bit over the last few years. Chances of more concussion increase for players who have suffered major concussions as Thomas did last season.

Many players have concussions and then never have a problem again. So far Zach as had one that I know of and it was termed mild because he never lost consciousness or memory. He later had an auto accident where he hurt his neck and had some migraines so they decided to shut him down. I don't believe they ever said that he had another concussion from the accident. In comparison I believe Aikman has had concussions since college and then a several in the nfl where he didn't even know what team he was playing for. Certainly there is always a chance Thomas could have another concussion but it is also no certainty.

Thomas has not suffered a major concussion, it was a mild one where he said that he just didn't feel right. Never was unconscious or loss of memory. No where near what Aikman experienced.

The doctors have actually given him clearance to play and from past observations of guys suffering from concussions it seems the biggest problem with having later ones was when the player got them during the season and went back on the field too early not giving themselves time to heal fully.

Zach Thomas is no better than Akin.I wish Carp would get a shot.I guarentee if we would let Carp go he would start to shine some on another team, especially Pats.

He had a head injury and you are right he then suffered migraines after a car accident and Miami teams doctors were concerned and would not clear him to play. Miami still had concerns over this which is why they released him. So for me yes this is a concern.

Some people believe that. I don't.

Until we see Zack on the field making plays it might be true.

Miami release was all about a new staff which is overseen by Parcells who has no use for undersized lb who is also an older player.(who has no ties with Parcells) To relate it to concerns over his injury is a stretch.

I've seen Zack make plenty of plays on the field. The guy has more tackles then any LB in todays HOF. His track record speaks for itself. Not to offend Akin but he can't carry Zacks jock on his best day....

That is the reason Ireland gave not me. Zack is getting up in age and is coming off a concussion and while you may not think it is a major issue it was enough to keep him out for the season. All I'm saying is yes I have a concern about this if you don't well then you don't.

Exactly and how does a ML avoid contact to the skull? He doesnt.

I predict there will be so many negative Nancys on this forum when the Jets select Darren McFadden at #6.

Hey, it could be a lot worse McFadden fans. Do you want him in New England with Moss and Brady?
