We are facing an even deadlier matchup Sunday. MinniSOOOODA's defense does call for some concern. Jared Allen is probably licking his chops, and waiting for his match. Brett Favre is Brett Favre. But how can we contain AP? Or Percy Harvin! I hope we are preparing for this.

I'm not nervous.

I'm filled full of liquid courage right now. Sauced as can be and right now I can drunkfully say that Dallas won't lose a game for about 6 years........

Well, this thread brought good luck last week, so keep 'em coming. :)

Peterson is the threat that concerns me the least, frankly. He hasn't had a big game since like October, unable to maintain even a 4.0-yards-per-carry average since. To boot, with Favre on board I think Minnesota is a team that relies on the passing game to win, and sprinkles in the run just to keep things honest. We'll see how that plays out, though.

Rice poses problems because of his athleticism. He can be covered but still has the ability to make the tough grab. This is something Philly didn't have. Harvin more reminds me of the kind of receiver Philly was full of, so I don't know that he poses anything Jackson or Maclin didn't. In fact, I think they're pretty darn identical.

The key against Favre is pressure. He's 40 years old and the last time we played him he couldn't finish the game and left with his lowest-ever QB rating (8.9, I believe). Ratliff, Ware and Spencer are the keys to this game. We must pressure Favre without throwing the kitchen sink with excessive blitzes.

Shiancoe worries me, but we've done well against prolific tight ends outside of Week 17 against Philly. Gates, Gonzalez and Celek (twice) didn't do too much that I recall.

As for Allen? He's a force to be sure, but his production has tailed off in recent weeks.

We'll see. :)

Mullet Boy can bring it when he needs to do. He's a savage looking mofo! But however if we keep up our intensity from last game. We will be quite okay, and Brad Childress is a good friend of Andy Reid's. So Andy might have a few answers for him as well. Man this is got me nervous. They are 8-0 at home this season. That is what concerns me the most.

First thing you have to remember is that it's not easy getting to Romo, he's quick and elusive, and if you miss him and allow him to gain an additional 3 seconds, Receivers will be loose in the secondary and he WILL find them and that right there could mean 6.

Secondly, if you blitz, you might as well go home and concede victory on Romo.

3rdly, Our running game is probably better than Minnesota's, if you consider the 3 man attack, and if you clog up the middle, remember all Felix needs is a crease and it's Christmas.

4th - Our Defense is the real deal. If they plan on slinging the ball around, good luck.

I do worry a little about AP, but as long as we just stay disciplined in our gap control and not fall for too many play actions, I think we can contain AP.

The thing that scares me about a balanced attack it, if you can run, you totally take the soul out of a defense, and you take the rythm out of the opposing teams offense by staying on the field too long.

All in all, I wouldn't worry about this game because as I've said before, if we're good enough to beat them, we WILL.

I'm not nervous at all that might change come Sunday but right now i'm not. This team has already exceeded my expectation before the season so what ever happens from here on out is just a bonus

I think we should run right at Allen and let Flo pancake him 3-4 times on our first drive and start Flo's adrenaline pumping. Getting pancaked a few times in a row will take the desire outta of Allen for a while and make him a less fierce pass rusher.

1. Stop the run. (Make them one-dimensional)
2. Stop Jarred Allen. (He pretty much is their pass rush)
3. Abuse their secondary. (That is the weakest link on their defense)
4. PRESSURE Favre!!!!!!!!!! (Make him throw some INT's)

I think if we do those things we win.

I was more worried against the Eagles. Minnesota started great but then began to falter. Their offense is inconsistent. AP hasn't been doing much lately. Their defense is terrible in the secondary and their LB play against the run has not been good as of late.

BTW, the matchup of Pat Williams versus Leonard Davis will be interesting. Two of the biggest and strongest players in the league knocking heads. I like Davis' chances because of the youth factor.

Romo is a great road QB and I think he really likes playing in domes.

I'd give us a 75% chance of winning this game.

THe Eagles game had me way more worried then this one. That was the pressure game, it was more then a playoff game.

This game I think We pressure the hell out of favre and he throws up some ducks. Also I think we take his little slants that he loves to throw completely out of. AP will get his but it wont be enough.

Just like I said before both of the Eagle games, if we win the turnover battle then we will win the game.

I saw a nice stat NBC had during our playoff game, that the team winning the turnover battle wins 95% of the time in the playoffs. This actually makes alot of sense, in the regular season you can turn the ball over numerous times and still win if you have more talent (see Romo with 6 picks against Buffalo and we still won).

However, in the playoffs the talent level between the teams is almost the same. Therefore, if you commit alot of turnovers, you do not have enough of a talent advantage to make up for it.

So I will say again, if we dont turn the ball over the Vikes cant beat us.

Stuff the run early, force them to be one dimensional. Even better, if we can get a strip on AP early, he fumbles more than any other starting RB. He always fights to get that extra yard which leaves him prone to getting stripped.

I think the further and further we go into the playoffs, the more nervous we as fans become. It goes with the territory. I must say I'm a little uneasy like last week, but have a certain feeling that we win this game. This is a special bunch and I think they are going a long way.

I feel great about the Cowboys, I believe they will fight and give it everything and because of that they will win. The Vikings are a great team this year and deserve respect but they will lose Sunday.
