I know, weird timing right? and to tell the truth, I've been a lil down on the team the last couple weeks. (by down I just mean stuff like not wanting to wear any Cowboys stuff in public etc.) But with the official news tonight of teams leaving their cities behind for LA, and seeing some of the heartbroken and/or angry reactions, Ive never been so happier in my life to have been raised in DFW and a Cowboys fan. I looked up at my wall with the huge Cowboys flag that says DALLAS, and was reassured that we will never have to worry about such a nightmare situation......And I know ALOT of our fanbase couldnt care less where we play because they have no direct connection to DFW or even Texas, but for people like me, the loyalty lies more with Dallas-Ft.Worth.....So yes, hypothetically, if we ever did move to say, even just up the road to OKC, I could not continue to root for em....but again, case in point, we will never have to worry about that!! I think of Mel Brooks in History of the World where he says "its good to be the king"...doesnt roll off the tongue as well, or at all, but, "its good to be a DALLAS Cowboys fan"

...No matter what you think of Jerry Jones and his performance as general manager of the team, you cannot argue that he is not only a brilliant businessman, but that he has gone all in on Dallas as the home for his team. He enjoys being a very big fish in both the NFL pond and in the sizable one that Dallas is. It is probably the number three market in the league. And his marketing savvy has a lot to do with it being the most valuable franchise in the NFL, and, perhaps, the entire sports world. That is a remarkable achievement for what is the most American of all sports. The Cowboys are also one of the leaders in expanding the popularity of the NFL outside of the United States, with a strong following in Mexico and one of the larger contingents of players with foreign roots on their roster.

The strategy of building in place was one Jones followed from the day he bought the franchise, and that was not a sure thing when he did so. The team was bleeding money when he purchased them.Others might have sought out suitors for a move to improve the bottom line, even if just to use as leverage in the Dallas area. It was Jones that turned things around by committing to Dallas. Yes, he got a huge amount of help from Jimmy Johnson in the rapid turnaround on the field, but Jones was the one who gave Johnson the reins to do so. And Jones was the driving force behind the growth of the Cowboys brand into the marketing juggernaut it has become. He also has played a major role in growing the entire league, which has made him one of the most influential owners, with only Robert Kraft of the New England Patriots and league Sith Lord John Mara of the Giants wielding similar influence. Kraft's power is based on the unnatural and possibly unholy dominance of the Pats under Bill Belichick and quarterback Tom Brady, while Mara seems to have an untoward hold over commissioner Roger Goodell. Jones' power stems more from a purely monetary basis, which is the one language that is most clearly understood by the entire league...

You go, Cowboys fan! You have support here!!

Proud for him and the rest of us that are proud to be Cowboys fans. But no, sadly, he does not have true support here.

Not unless he falls in with the crowd in vilifying the organization. Otherwise he's an idiot and stupid for saying those things and all alone in his opinion.

im curious though ive asked this question before but no response (im guessing because its in the low traffic NFL section of these boards) but does this make the move of the Raiders to SA more realistic now or you think they stay in Oakland?

Don't think we'll ever have to worry about them Being moved. Rams moved because of no fan support most likely. Dallas lacks fan support and it's not even noticeable. The cowboys brand is too big

Have you ever shared a game experience with a fan in the new stadium? Mine was impeccable and fan sharing was top class to me and my wife.

We took our vacation with a center theme of Dallas Cowboys. We stayed in the Grand Hyatt along with the Cowboys for their training camp at the Alamodome. We had a tremendous time in San Antonio, and all the way up to Austin and then up New Braunfels and the Dome of the Rock. We then went to a motel near the stadium and watched the very first game of football played there...the Houston Exhibition Game.

The couple, with a pair of kids sitting in front of us, left their kids with us - as the wife was scared of the heights. We had no prior meeting, but shared with the kids and the couple when they returned at half-time. We shared a complete Cowboys experience and enjoyed the game with freindship.

You are the most proud of being a Cowboys fan after a 4-12 season and because a few teams will be moving to LA? Just not grasping the correlation and what that has to do with Dallas. To each their own.

I was the most proud of the Cowboys after winning 3 Super Bowls in 4 years and creating a dynasty that will go down in history. An undrafted player taking over for Bledsoe and saved our season is another moment. The hiring of Parcells and getting to the playoffs with Quincy Carter of all people. Getting us out of those dreaded three 5-11 seasons. The comeback against Buffalo in 2007. Those are a few of my proud moments. Unless you are very young and didn't really experience any of it.

This means nothing. Dallas Cowboys will never move from this area. Most teams today won't be moving, either. There's nowhere else to really go.
