Besides it being a huge media market you mean?
Media market...there are probably just as many (if not more) Cowboys fans in SoCal. That stadium will be our second home.
Another reason in favor of the move.
That's true, but it's not like LA is dominated by any one fanbase. I'd say Raiders, Cowboys, and rams have the most there. Either way, I'm excited. I have a ton of homies in the SCDCFC (SoCal fanclub), and each game there will be a takeover. They had about 100 people at the PS game in SF by themselves. Our tailgate at SD two years ago was about 150 deep.
I live in SF. I went to the Cowboys PS game in Santa Clara and had dreams of watching the Cowboys win the superbowl there. Then Dez got broke. Then Tony got broke. Then better. Then broke again.
As for LA they will build a palace there and it'll sell out 99% of the time and will raise tv rights in the next NFL deal.
really? we only have (2) sides here? we have NO ONE in the middle ground who are not happy with some things but are still fans and positive?
yea, kinda extreme i would think but for some reason we cater to the few who pull that crap and slap a wide paintbrush on the rest so we don't have to realize there's more thank black and white to *most* issues. i'm guilty of it also but kinda trying to stop thinking that way cause it's more for convenience than truth.
I know, weird timing right? and to tell the truth, I've been a lil down on the team the last couple weeks. (by down I just mean stuff like not wanting to wear any Cowboys stuff in public etc.) But with the official news tonight of teams leaving their cities behind for LA, and seeing some of the heartbroken and/or angry reactions, Ive never been so happier in my life to have been raised in DFW and a Cowboys fan. I looked up at my wall with the huge Cowboys flag that says DALLAS, and was reassured that we will never have to worry about such a nightmare situation......And I know ALOT of our fanbase couldnt care less where we play because they have no direct connection to DFW or even Texas, but for people like me, the loyalty lies more with Dallas-Ft.Worth.....So yes, hypothetically, if we ever did move to say, even just up the road to OKC, I could not continue to root for em....but again, case in point, we will never have to worry about that!! I think of Mel Brooks in History of the World where he says "its good to be the king"...doesnt roll off the tongue as well, or at all, but, "its good to be a DALLAS Cowboys fan"
Read any thread here and tell me if anyone is allowed to express that they like Garrett without being jumped on for it. Any other opinion or middle ground stance is immediately nullified by the majority if you like the head coach.
No, right now this is a volatile place to be if you're a fan that is postive and supports the team.

Can't speak for the other guy, but he has my support.
I've lived all over DFW. When I leave the area, I tell people I'm from Dallas. For all I care, the Cowboys could move to Fort Worth, they'll still be known as the Dallas Cowboys if they're here.
But it's fun to make jokes
Would you jump all over me if I told you I thought Matt Cassell was a good QB and should be leading this franchise?

No. We'd talk about it, sure. But I wouldn't attack you or call you names because of it. Most fans were saying exactly that about Cassel a few weeks ago when we benched Weeden, so it's not an unreasonable--albeit unlikely--opinion to have.
I'd love to have a conversation about it if it was realistic, reasonable, and cordial. I certainly wouldn't use it as a qualifier to invalidate anything else you had to say.
Granted, but you would probably think I was crazy. As would anyone now that would try to say that Cassell is a quality QB. He just isnt. And certainly I wasnt the one saying that Cassell was good when they brought him in. Im not sure who did, if any.
The issue isn't the semantics of Cassel. It's the fact that we'd be willing to discuss it in a civil manner rather than hurl insults and low veiled shots back and forth.
