Now before you say there is no way JJ is going to step aside........IF you had a choice between hiring a NEW COACH OR a NEW GM for the coming season which would it be and why? My answer will come later in the thread.

Buddy, a new GM will = new coach by default. There isn't another GM in this world that would risk his job over JG. I would be surprised if he landed a job as a position coach after this season.

Yeah, I was wondering if this was a trick question or something.

Hey, real quick. Jessica Alba or Roseanne Barr? For suspense, I'll withhold my answer for awhile.

Are we talking a young Weight managed Roseanne Barr?

I think at least Garrett has a chance to be solid at his job. I have soured on Garrett. It seems like this team continues to make mistakes on the simple things. That is a red flag on coaching imo. Although, I can certainly see Garrett having success down the road with a team with a solid foundation in the front office. A front office who will find talent regularly, allow Jason to hire a good staff and let him just manage the team (which is a full time job in itself).

It is obvious Garrett is not a gamechanger that this team needs to compensate all the weaknesses in the front office. But the odds are much better of Garrett being solid in his job than Jerry being solid as a GM. That ship has long since sailed.

Is this a serious question? why not ask the following:

What do you want more:
* To Eat: A thick juicy, medium well steak OR a piece of cardboard
* To look at (if you are a guy): A Victoria Secret model in your living room wearing their products OR William the refrigerator Perry wearing those outfits in your living room
* To watch: A superbowl victory by the Cowboys OR what we have now

I'll take a new GM please (and the VS model in my living room, just don't tell Mrs Fredd)

If you answer GM, the head coach thing takes care of itself.

If I could have one wish in the sport world it would be for Jerry to sell the Cowboys to anyone sane. It's not enough for him to be gone. I want the whole family out. I don't even like the teenager in the war room.

I freaking hate that kid. I know its irrational and he's just a kid, but I absolutely hate that kid's face. I loathe the day he becomes involved in the front office.

Anyway.....GM and it's not debatable. How many coaches have we had in the past 15 years? And how many GMs have we had? Its that easy.

There should rightfully also be options for a new owner, new GM, new head coach, new OC and a new DC. That'd most definitely rate beyond excellent for starters -- whatever might be left to improve this team would easily fall into place accordingly. Jeez . . . just thinking about it gives me goosebumps.

Unfortunately, it probably wouldn't make much of a difference. Jerry the Owner is going to treat any new GM the same way Jerry the GM treats Garrett. Jerry the Owner would be still be meddling and constantly looking over the GM's shoulder and giving his "input". Jerry, undoubtedly, would just find a puppet GM, much like Garrett is his puppet HC. The next question is "Is there a competent GM that would be willing to work for and deal with Jerry?" It's the same question for a competent HC right now. How many quality coaches are willing to be part of this circus?

As delusional as Jerry is he would just give himself a new title like "The Supreme Grand Poobah Emperor of the Dallas Cowboys"
