just throwing scenarios out there, although Goose has already come out and said that he's getting told that Jackson would be great value around 20-22
I think I may be the only other person here besides you that likes DeSean Jackson and his abilities as a deep threat (perfect replacement for Glenn) and kick returning. I'm asssuming most Cowboys fans are scared off by the comparison to Ted Ginn, but Jackson is a far more polished receiver then Ginn. Guys like Lee Evans, Santana Moss, & Steve Smith with similiar attributes to Jackson have fared very well so far in the league. I think Jason Garrett would make him into a huge weapon in the offense runnin all over the field in between Owens and Witten.

In drafting a WR, I think we should look for one who could resemble TO in the way he plays within three years. Romo seems to excel in throwing seem routes and medium-deep crossing patterns and TO is very good at getting open on these routes. Physically, Adarius Bowman looks the part - though I'm not sure how his route-running measures up.

As far as a deep threat, I'm not sure we need the best one out there. Romo does not throw a lot of bombs and it isn't one of his strengths. We need a receiver to stretch the field and keep the defense honest - but I'm not sure it's needed as a feature point of the offense. For this reason, I like a guy like Stallworth - though maybe not Stallworth. If Glenn can be healthy and cheap-ish next season, we could draft a deep threat on day two - thinking Donnie Avery, Dorien Bryant or Willie Franklin.

I'm preeeeeeeeeetty sure they think Stanback is that guy, great physical specimen with an even better attitude. TO came in as a 4th rd. pick and took a little time to develop working with Rice and his work ethic rubbed off. Hopefully the same happens with Stanback, Jackson would be a great compliment + we finally get a real threat in the return game...

I agree with you Bob on a CB and a RB early in the draft. I'm wavering on where exactly we would pick a WR... I think a case could be made (or made against) for choosing one in round 1.

As far as your corner goes... I want a guy that specialized in coverage. I'm not concerned about return skills. I want a guy that's more polished when it comes to defending the pass.

someone posted he was leaning that way, but didn't have a link. If Jones stays, I'd draft Jonathan Stewart or Rashard Meddenhall

These are the best two backs outside of DMAC anyways...they are both NFL RB's

And if we draft Felix we can just give him Julius's jersey. The fans who purchased the #21 jersey will rejoice.

LOL...my boy has a #21 JJ jersey. That would work for me.

As nice as that would be, I'm sure Jerry would have other plans. The man's got to make a living somehow. ;)
