Agree, but if you take a cb in rd 1, many would hope that he does in fact have that 4.4 speed to recover, b/c nobody is perfect. The best CB's will go for jukes/moves, and with the WR speed in the NFL, you hope a CB taken in the 1st rd has the speed to catch up enough to at least have a shot at a pass break up.

But again, I am on record saying I wouldnt mind Cason or Flowers at 22, I just think that there are legitimate arguments to be made that it may be a tad high. Doesn't mean that we shouldnt take them there though.

Personally, I would risk the criticism of being a 'tad high' over losing a quality player I really wanted.

Playing corner isn't all about speed but positioning, hip movement, recognizing routes and technique.

It's kind of like receiving skills. If you know how to run your routes and you're good at faking, you can buy the necessary time you need to catch a pass. You may not be able to pull away from defenders, but, so what? How often does that happen anyway?

Besides, Cason is probably about as fast as Quentin Jammer, Chris McAlister, Henry, Charles Woodson, Al Harris, Antrelle Rolle, etc.

And he's a talent corner too.

He's good at #22, and I hope the Cowboys grab him.

I don't mind Cason at 28, it could be worse. I hope we do better at 22 though then either of these 2.

Cason wouldn't be a reach in my opinion. Ask Hos for more details on that one. Just because one of us believe it to be, doesn't mean the Cowboys have not done their homework on the player they covet.

This thread shouldn't get messy, but if it does I doubt anyone is going to say that Cason flat out cant play. I do think its legitimate to argue that to take a cb at 22, you would like him to have the prototypical NFL CB speed. Also, I think that if people feel like he would be there at 28, then taking him at 22 would obviously frustrate them.

Talib needs to play with more discipline. He takes a lot of chances and does get burned because of it. Talib plays well with everything in front of him. He may turn out to be a better FS then CB. To early to tell yet.

Cason is a very good football player. He stikes me more as a zone corner than a press cover guy though. Most of the plays I saw him make were when he was facing the QB and the WR had a 5-10 yard cushion. Of course there were times that he turned and ran with WR's in a man situation but for the most part he was in zone a lot at Arizona. Obviously Hos could correct me if I am wrong.

That said, I wouldn't be upset if Dallas drafted him because as I said, he is a very good football player. Not sure if 22 is where he should go but...
