new mock

Why people keep making the comment about we have ignored the Oline for to long in the 1st round just doesnt have a clue. On our roster and in the last 5 years we had/have (3) 1st round Oline( Columbo, Davis, Barron), one was even the second pick in the whole draft. We had/have 2 second round Oline( Adams, Gurode). Also a 7th rounder and a 4th rounder.

The Oline is a part of a team that can come from any part of the draft and even UFA, and FA and still be successful. The problem with the Cowboysthe last 10 years with Oline was we did not have the pieces in place to develop and make good Olineman. With Garrett now looking to have a more physical training camp, practices, and a new/old training coach in Woicik it doesnt matter where we get an Olineman they will get better because of the structure we have now.

Never pass up the chance to get a difference maker/playmaker.

There's no need to be rude, dude.

You gave me 6-7 players who won't be there at #9. Good job.

Right, let's trade up because the Cowboys don't have many holes on this roster. We're only one player away from a Super Bowl. Oh wait...fail.

So now you know what measurables a franchise left tackle endures?

Joe Thomas, who is a franchise left tackle, isn't 6'6" and 312 pounds, right?

Oh wait, HE IS! It's possible to be 6'6", 312 pounds, and be a franchise left tackle? Wow!

Tyron Smith= one inch shorter than Thomas and weighs three pounds less, without a strength and conditioning program in the NFL. You fail again.

Seriously, why should the Cowboys even draft certain players when AKAtheRake knows it's a terrible selection? Please.

Mike Mayock, one of the most respectable draft analysts, is high on Smith and will definitely be at his Pro Day.

Mayock also rates Costanza and Solder higher. Just saying.

A physical training camp is not going to make chicken salad out of chicken manure. You have to start with quality talent. Sure an UFA can become a great player on the OL , but so can a QB (Romo) or WR (Austin) etc. The first round picks that have been on the Dallas line have been cast offs from other teams. It is time to invest in quality talent through the draft and build a good young line that can be used to protect Romo for years to come.

Is this a joke?

**Newsflash**: we didn't draft Colombo, Davis or Barron

Please don't ever mention Barron's name again.

We've drafted only 4 offensive linemen in the 2nd round since 2002, and NONE in the 1st round. You call that investing in the OL?

Flozell Adams- good pick
Andre Gurode- good pick
Al Johnson- horrible pick
Jacob Rogers- the worst pick ever
James Marten- horrible pick
Doug Free- good pick
Robert Brewster- looks like a horrible pick

3/7 is just horrible. This is why Jerry had to dig deep in his pockets to overpay for players such as Leonard Davis, Flozell Adams and Marco Rivera, because the Cowboys are just HORRIBLE at drafting offensive linemen.
