New OC

Norval Turner will b your OC, he'll build a offense around Dak.
Plus he's a top play caller. That is the most important part of the gig.

Norv and Zimmer were the dream team when they were both available a few years ago. Defense and an offense that fit Tony, with coaches Jerry was comfortable with.

It will be interesting to see what OC will be willing to work under Garrett. I'm thinking that Norv ain't that guy.

If you’re not going to run Garrett’s offense, then why should he be the HC?

If Garrett can't get his offense to work with his hand picked OC, what value add does he bring with a new OC with a different offense?

It's sure as hell not game management.

Norv fits his scheme to the QB. Plus he's a run first guy.

Wonder if dirk koetter would be a good OC. He will be fired as head coach in Tampa

Not one mention of Romo? I'd take him over any of the others. I think he'd be a great OC for Dak...
Would be great to see him in the Cowboys organization regardless of the position but everybody knows he will not leave the booth to coach a team. If he were jobless now, all the fans would jump on him, though.

If Scott cost us in the playoffs JG better be thankful to have a job no matter who Jerry hires as coaches no matter what system they run.

That’s my whole point and why I don’t get the people that think Garrett will remain the HC but they will bring in a new OC with a totally new offensive system better suited to Dak’s abilities. That would mean Garrett brings nothing to the team so why should he be the coach. If a new OC is brought in under Garrett, it will be one he approves which means it will be someone from the Norv tree and the system will remain very similar.

Because USC has some of the best talent in college football who has horrible coaching, and if he can turn that offense around it might leverage him for the HC job for one of the most prestigious colleges in college football, or opens up a HC for another power 5 or NFL team.

It was a genius move by him, and him jumping to an be on an NFL team right now mean they have the pieces to be successful where that is not the case in the cupcake Pac 12 with that roster.

Kliff isn't going anywhere this year, but next year who knows.

With that being said Scott Linehan is as good as gone unless something miraculous happens in the playoffs. Adam Gase did a lot with little talent in Miami, and it would be interesting to see what he could do here. My big issue is he seems to not play some of his better talent as much as you'd want although there might be something behind the scenes there with Drake and Parker.
I get it’s a great job but I thought he would hold out for an NFL job or HC job
The NFL jobs don’t start clicking till season is over
OC at USC is a dang good job and probably pays a million or more a year

It's easy to understand. They don't count on the front offense doing what is right and dumping Garrett too. And they have a point.

Garrett's here because Jerry feels he's a long lost son, not because he's bringing something awesome to the organization. Why change out Linehan if you're just going to have to work with the same offensive system? The Garrett offense failed when Garrett called it and it looks exactly the same with Linehan at the helm.
