A common theme this off season was how the organization would be moving forward into a new and different direction. All over the internet, radio, and tv people even claimed that the attitude of Dez, cost Dez his Star. I even heard the same sentiments from SJ and Linehan.

With that being said, why is Red Geezy puting up with embarrassing garbage from guys like Irving and T-Will? I thought he had a philosophy about the RKG's. He talked about how this team was going to progress in a new positive type atmosphere.

In an episode of AON Jerry told the guys "The Star" and it's image was more important than even himself.
I don't buy any of it. I don't buy that JG has more control than fans ever thought. I don't buy the image of "The Star" stands for integrity or is held to any sort of standards. I most certainly don't buy that the organization was moving forward with a new philosophy.

Until guys who are acting like completely worthless human beings are being held accountable, this is the same old bunch, and will have th same old results because of all the distractions!!!

There is a reason 0-23 is the identity of our beloved Cowboys!!!

there's a lot of teams out there that are worse than 0-23. It's a shame that now two of the exceptions are in our own division.

I think there's a good chance TWill gets cut if he gets suspended.
Irving is not going anywhere this year. But next year we let him go and take the comp pick.

I don't think you improve the team by cutting TWill or Irving right now. You can carry 90 people right now and there aren't 90 players available better than TWill and Irving.

Besides, don't forget that Irving is really good. The WR position needs as many tools as possible to choose from later. Twill doesn't have a bone head track record, and in fact hasn't missed a game his entire career according to Pro Football Reference.

so you believe Jimmy Johnson held the same standard for each player.
I see you were born yesterday

always disliked TWill, he can go right now

but, as noted above, "RKG" means absolutely zero....the players know this or idiots like drunken fool williams and druggy Irving (after DV Irving) would not be the idiots that they are....Jimmy Johnson would have cut them the next morning....sick of these worthless players taking up space....

I understand your frustrations and I share them, but the Cowboys best move is to be patient on both of these situations.

If they cut Williams's today, they're on the hook for $3.5 million in guarantees (or thereabouts), if they wait and the league suspends him, those guarantees are hone and they can cut him with no cap consequences. The right move is to wait for things to play out.

David Irving is obviously an idiot, but a talented idiot. They can use his abilities for whatever games he's available for and simply let him walk next year. Cutting him now would simply be a rash, spite move.

It is frustrating that the two knuckleheads can't keep their acts together, but it makes better sense for the Cowboys to be patient. And it's not a reflection on everyone in the building that two guys are morons, there are far more people trying to do things the right way to be dragged down by these two.

Another bash the Cowboys thread. Don’t you haters ever get tired of spilling the same ole garbage over and over?

Only if some or many of our own fans had this kind of sense.

Disappointing news, but as I said many times, I am going into this season with a show me on the field attitude. Not getting to high or low as things go as and average attitude. Not buying into their usual lip service from the coaches or FO. Now if a player says something, I will go with it to. a degree, but still need to see it.

I may get pumped up about a few things, as well, be down too. But TC may influence that at times as well.

How can you have that caption from Jimmy and say to keep Irving after all of this. He shows up overweight and out of shape, then gets suspended? Cut him and cut him now. It will finally send a message to the rest of the team that this crap wont be tolerated. Jesus we cut a guy for a dress code violation for cripes sake.

Simply put...no, no they don't. I have a few friends, they will always bring up anything remotely negative, or twist something into a negative. They never repeat anything positive.

One took the Matin contract negotiations and asked if the team was playing head games with him, by not having him signed yet. That was a few weeks before he did sign. I told him no way, both sides want it done, it is just a matter of timing and could be something as simple as the length or some terminology type stuff.

Heck I remember one time, can't remember the player, a deal was worked out and the NFL rejected it, based on a few words and terminology. So they needed to find the right way to state it in the contract. But yet everyone jumped on Jerry for it saying he was trying to rip off the player. Had nothing to do with the money involved.

Being positive just isn’t in their character. But the opposite sure is.

do you honestly think id Ken Norton fell asleep at the same meeting s and John Roper, both would be cut?

If that was #53 on the roster that show boated in the SB or screwed up the blocked FG deal against Miami, instead of Leon Lett, they would be kept.

If it was Emmitt instead of Curvin Richards fumbling in a meaningless game that was won against the Bears, he woyuld be cut.

Same rules do not apply to everyone.

Jason Garrett needs to find himself another Joe Randle or Lucky Whitehead; marginal talents who can be cut as “examples” to others that only squeaky-clean RKGs will be tolerated...right, Jerry?
:muttley::laugh::lmao::lmao2::facepalm:

Comparing David Irving to any of those guys is blasphemous. Irving has been inconsistent his entire career and has been suspended twice now for the same thing. What more needs to be seen?

If the star and it's image was more important to Jerry than even himself he wouldn't be the GM here for over two decades. It's the exact opposite in fact.

JG doesn't sign players to the Cowboys. And even once they are signed you can't predict a player is a knuckle head until they do knuckle head things. Unless we sign them knowing those issues upfront....TO comes to mind.

David was a steal to begin with so we are paying him next to nothing which honestly has been worth the 12 at most games he has given us a season. We wont sign him next season though because someone will pay him more and he has bad history with us with his suspensions.

TWill is different IMO. This is the first screw up he has had as far as I know. Contractually I thought we got a good deal when we signed him but the combination of his injury, young WR's and incident could make him expendable. IMO the incident alone is not a reason to cut TWill

And does anyone really think Jimmy would but up with players (star or not) who keeps getting suspended and you could only count on him half a year?

But at the time Lett was Irving. And that was not my point and you know it.

I am just wondering who will be the next player to get in trouble.
