2Dallas Cowboys

last week: 2
record: 6–1
It took overtime to get there Sunday, but with their win over Philadelphia the Cowboys now have posted 400-plus yards of offense in five consecutive games. You know how many previous times they’ve had a streak of that length in their storied history? Zero. The 2014 and 1976 teams hit the 400-yard mark in four straight outings, but this year’s Cowboys have reached new heights.

It's silly to think we wouldn't be doing the same thing or better with a healthy Romo.

You don't know that Romo is prime Romo anymore he's 36 with multiple injuries. For one we know he can't move like Dak Dak's ran for 4 TDs Romo ran for 5 TDs in his entire career. I think it's silly to think we would be doing the same thing with Romo, better? Dak is 1 point from 7-0 the margin for better is small.

Romo is infinitely more adept and knowledgeable than our young rookie. His ability to hold up is the only real question.

Running QBs almost never win the Super Bowl.

When did Romo win the Super Bowl? He hasn't even gotten to the game before the Super Bowl. I swear if someone didn't know what forum they were on you might think it's the New England Forum and the argument is Tom Brady vs Jimmy G. Speaking of Brady he wasn't near as good as Dak has been when Belichick chose him over Drew Bledsoe, in fact he was 5-5 when Drew got healthy. He wasn't close to the Tom Brady he went on to be, Dak has earned the starting job he should keep it for the rest of the season.

The margins for not having to play OT, from behind, and not ever blow anyone out are very large.

This is just an idiotic argument Romo would have left on a stretcher against the Eagles they were out for blood, he wouldn't have won that game in fact he wouldn't have finished that game. You want to blame Dak now for going to OT and winning? Some of you are just ridiculous.

There are some numbers posted in another thread that show we were a better passing team with Romo in 2014 (when our offense was similar to what it is now). However, the running game wasn't quite as strong. So those things might balance themselves out.

I just don't care for it when fans act like a healthy Romo couldn't do just as good or better given the effectiveness of this running game. I agree that we may never see a healthy Romo again, though, and I'm not advocating that we replace Dak. I think the QB situation will ultimately take care of itself.

In an age of phony stats, seems like yet another phony stat... especially in an age of inflated offense. One of the teams in our storied history only had 1 400 yard game the entire season. Not one in a row, one total for the season. You may have heard of that team, the 12-4 Super Bowl champion 1993 Dallas Cowboys.

Keep not liking but you're the one making assumptions not me. I have facts.

We are 6-1 with Dak Prescott as QB, not Romo. Dak is a MVP candidate, Dak is towards the top of the league in QBR. Anytime one of you says "we would be this and this with Romo" is making an assumption because you can't prove that. BTW we should be 7-0 with Dak Dez and Beasley both dropped TD passes and Terrance Williams forgot to run out of bounds.

For one I never said if we had prime healthy Romo we couldn't be successful, I don't think we have him anymore and no one can prove otherwise. Jerry keeps pushing back the date of Romo's return so something's up.

Oh, I see. I cant speculate he would have blown them out, but you can speculate he would get injured.

Genius.

Who finished 2014 #1 in QBR?

;)
