Some of our members positively love our new Quarterback Zone!

You might ask yourself how would I possibly know this was true? DallasEast is NO mind reader although he's easily distracted... SQUIRREL!

How do I know? Simple.

Surprisingly (funny word) some members have an uncontrollable self-compulsion for posting comments (frequently sometimes snide in nature) about Romo or Prescott (more often Romo than Prescott) into threads (usually within the first handful of posts) concerning topics not directly referring to either player. Since members know the Quarterback Zone is "for all discussions Tony Romo, Dak Prescott, or the quarterback position in general", well...

It's silly to think we wouldn't be doing the same thing or better with a healthy Romo.

This is exactly what some are thinking that see this as an 'either / or' thing. There's no question that for right now, until Dak gets coached up, Romo is better at:

1. passing the football
2. reading the defenses
3. making presnap adjustments.

Dak will get there. Especially since it's TONY HIMSELF who is helping coach him up.

MVP is not always about stats, it is too early to speculate on that, but Dak is a cinderella story, so that alone puts him in the running
if win streak carries on.

Terry bradshaw said even if he loses the eagle game he would not replace him .
All the people who like romo , but are not infatuated with him are all saying you have to roll with dak.
Dak is probably the biggest story this season, so that puts him in the running.

In case you dont know, Dak was mad he wasnt picked in a earlier round, he was glad it was cowboys who did finally pick him,
but he said he was gonna make all those other teams sorry they didnt pick him in Round one or 2.
He was going to show everyone.

And that is what he is doing, and he has had some luck and got on the right team at right time.
people love him , I saw a patriot fan going on about him the other day in a comment section on you tube.

I dont know how far this goes, but I am hoping all the way.
Cleveland is next for me that is all, and the cowboys hopefully wont overlook this team with no wins.
Any team can beat them if they are not ready to play.

You are right, but go look at the last 10 MVP's and tell me which one wasn't about stats. The league has changed, and with it the criteria for MVP's have changed. Fantasy football has made this a stat's driven league. Like it or not the awards given out have evolved too.

I personally do not care who the QB is if we win. I am not a Romo fan or a Dak fan. I am a Cowboy fan. But hyperbole about a QB that is benefiting from having the offensive rookie of the year (Zeke) and arguably the best offensive line in football controlling games is just want it is... hyperbole. That and I do not understand why a fan of this team must tear one player down to build up another. Who cares who it is if we win? Honestly.

Is Dak playing well? Yes. Could Romo do the same? Maybe, maybe not. But lets not go overboard here.

I agree, but he made the cover of sports illustrated after like game 3?
He is the story of the year.
I dont care who gets the mvp thing, I know murray did, and then people say he wasnt worth the money, and was quickly
off the team he was mvp on.

main thing is to win games, get the highest possible seed, and then win in playoffs.

This is just an idiotic argument Romo would have left on a stretcher against the Eagles they were out for blood, he wouldn't have won that game in fact he wouldn't have finished that game. You want to blame Dak now for going to OT and winning? Some of you are just ridiculous.

Speaking of idiotic arguments...

Sorry for my part in changing the direction of this thread. I just have a hard time understanding why some fans feel the need to take potshots at Romo, who last I checked was still a valued member of this team, anytime something positive is mentioned concerning Dak. Why can we not enjoy being 6-1 with a rookie quarterback and still appreciate what a great QB position we're in by having both of them? Why can't we understand that we might need both of them to get to where we want to go? I don't care who takes us to the Super Bowl as long as we get there.

In an age of phony stats, seems like yet another phony stat... especially in an age of inflated offense. One of the teams in our storied history only had 1 400 yard game the entire season. Not one in a row, one total for the season. You may have heard of that team, the 12-4 Super Bowl champion 1993 Dallas Cowboys.
