Romo is infinitely more adept and knowledgeable than our young rookie. His ability to hold up is the only real question.

Running QBs almost never win the Super Bowl.

He's far less adept at being able to play, which trumps every single other thing.

Anytime one of you says "we would be this and this with Romo" is making an assumption because you can't prove that. BTW we should be 7-0 with Dak Dez and Beasley both dropped TD passes and Terrance Williams forgot to run out of bounds.
Calls other people out for making an assumption and with the next sentence makes an assumption.

Some people on this board have no idea what things like intangibles and chemistry are. Heck I've seen one argue chemistry doesn't even exist in football.

How is dropping two TD passes an assumption? They're facts. If you add the two dropped TD passes we win that game by 13, that's a fact.

I'm started to wonder what's going on here are there just Romo only fans here that don't care anything about Cowboys winning. We're 6-1 close to 7-0 and there are a lot on this board that have nothing but hate in their heart for Dak. It's sad.

In an age of phony stats, seems like yet another phony stat... especially in an age of inflated offense. One of the teams in our storied history only had 1 400 yard game the entire season. Not one in a row, one total for the season. You may have heard of that team, the 12-4 Super Bowl champion 1993 Dallas Cowboys.
1993 team
for 376 / 229 against, some math guy are we on a pace to match that?
Points For: 376 (23.5/g) 2nd of 28

Points Against: 229 (14.3/g) 2nd of 28

that team
lost 2
won 7
lost 2
won 5
12-4

So far the dak team is doing better.
Points For: 188 (26.9/g) 7th of 32

Points Against: 130 (18.6/g) 7th of 32

lost1
won 6 and counting
The Aikman team was 5-2 after 7 games, and I know smith didnt play 1st 2.

bottom line is right now we are on a SB pace just like the 93 team.
they didnt score many points a game either.
(23.5/g) is lower than I would have thought.
So to say dak isnt doing enough on offense, well he is doing a little better than Aikman did.

Keep not liking but you're the one making assumptions not me. I have facts.

We are 6-1 with Dak Prescott as QB, not Romo. Dak is a MVP candidate.

We are 19th in the league in passing. In what world would that make Dak an MVP candidate? He is 17th in yards, 6th in rating, 20th in TD passes, and 15th in completion percentage. Those are facts.

Again I ask what about that makes him an MVP as a QB? He's not even the MVP of this team at this point. That is Zeke, he is in the NFL's top 5 in every rushing category. We are 1st in the league in rushing. More facts.

You have one fact, that we are 6-1. And who is more responsible for that is an opinion. You say Dak, I say Zeke and the offensive line controlling games and not putting pressure on Dak.

I am not saying we would or would not be better with Romo, or that Dak is not playing well. But come on man.

How did this turn into a Romo or Dak thread?
Mr. Elusive got butt hurt.

He says Dak has EARNED the QB position.

How do you EARN anything without competition via the pro bowl QB already on the team..............whom, BTW, has EARNED everything he's been given.

I'm still on the fence as to who should be the QB, BTW.

It is the bromance with Romo club. lol
They want to watch Romo play not Dak, and care more about Romo than the team or the record etc.
In their minds Romo is playing like 2007 Romo and throwing td's right and left, heck 80 yard bombs ! no sacks, no ints, etc etc.

Truth is we dont know how tony would do, until he plays.

I like tony too, and would like to see him win a SB.
But you dont mess with what we have going right now, just to see what tony can do.

I am fine with tony being # 1 next season.
The other thing is , if he is going to win one here, let him play the whole season, not pull a manning and just play couple games at end, and then playoffs.

Are we counting reinjuring a bone not fully healed yet as the same injury?

If so, 2, the same amount Dez has had.

Hopefully we bench dez for whitehead here soon.

I guess someone doesn't understand that not all injuries are equal. But nice try.

Bottom line for all you haters is Dak is winning the team is winning Jerry's seeing the light Dak is our guy. Deal with it or go root for another team.

a positive thread about our offensive production quickly devolves into the same BS and now belongs in Idiotville, aka, the Quarterback Zone

MVP is not always about stats, it is too early to speculate on that, but Dak is a cinderella story, so that alone puts him in the running
if win streak carries on.

Terry bradshaw said even if he loses the eagle game he would not replace him .
All the people who like romo , but are not infatuated with him are all saying you have to roll with dak.
Dak is probably the biggest story this season, so that puts him in the running.

In case you dont know, Dak was mad he wasnt picked in a earlier round, he was glad it was cowboys who did finally pick him,
but he said he was gonna make all those other teams sorry they didnt pick him in Round one or 2.
He was going to show everyone.

And that is what he is doing, and he has had some luck and got on the right team at right time.
people love him , I saw a patriot fan going on about him the other day in a comment section on you tube.

I dont know how far this goes, but I am hoping all the way.
Cleveland is next for me that is all, and the cowboys hopefully wont overlook this team with no wins.
Any team can beat them if they are not ready to play.
