I've watched them all except for DS9. For some reason I can't get into it.

I also don't watch the streaming one.
DS9 was so disappointing. There were so many possibilities to life on a space station at the mouth of a stable wormhole, and they focused on those lame shape shifters more than anything else. Even the security chief was one of them, and he was a wuss. He was more intimidating as the chief of staff in the sitcom Benson.

They should have an alternate Star Trek universe, like Bizarro Star Trek.
Like Mirror Mirror ?

I've finally watched DS9 and overall it's mostly good. It took me a good five or six attempts to get into it though.

Any of the episodes with the religious people from Bajor, I just skip to the next episode. Same thing with Voyager and the holodeck based episodes. Just skip them, they seriously suck.

Glad there is one other DS9 fan here but why must it be Sam? Just kidding Sam. :p

The first three DS9 seasons are superficial overall but the final four seasons, especially focusing on the Federation/Dominion War, are as good as the best of Trek’s other companion series in my opinion. The last half of the series had a much dark tone and edge than the other series, including TOS, combined.

DS9 had a few episodes based on TOS’s Mirror Mirror like Through The Looking Glass:

This one was from the third season so...

I don't remember that one, but I may have already given up on DS9 by then.
Reminds me how I initially gave up on TNG after seeing the Enterprise separate into two during the pilot Encounter At Farpoint episode. Then I caught the Contagion episode, which remains one of my favorites, about two years later and the rest is history lol.

If there was an example I would recommend to anyone who gave up on DS9, it would be the back-to-back two-part episodes Favor The Bold and Sacrifice Of Angels. If those do not warm up someone’s opinion of the show, NOTHING will.

Just north of me in Ticonderoga, NY, a guy built the set of the original series and has tours there https://www.startrektour.com/. This past year William Shatner was there. I wanted to go but it was $1,000 to spend time with him. That's buku bucks for me. The regular tour however is only $30. I may go there next week.

I completely agree and that is why it was so difficult to get into DS9. Those first three seasons where a bit difficult to watch. That's when the Defiant came into the picture too. Always stuck on a star base was not a good thing for the show. That change made a major difference.

If people only knew just how much that one scene pissed me off. :laugh:I did not think they were following in TOS footsteps. Thankfully I eventually found out how wrong I was. Gene Roddenberry was a pretty cool cat.
