All in all that's a pretty good draft, though we would need to still get a Safety.

Not a Warmack fan at all. Can you spell plodding?

He's easily the best guard at the line of scrimmage for both pass and run blocking in this draft. I don't see how anyone could argue this. Is he going to pull and get to the 2nd level as well as a guy like Copper? Absolutely not, but he's not bad at it either. Both guards would do wonders for this team, I don't see how anyone could not want either.

You may be right and I could be completely wrong. I do think Warmack is low risk but I think he's better suited in another scheme. But we don't just zone block exclusively and we need someone to move the pile so I won't flip out if he's picked. I just want a more mobile guard to be able to pull and run screens yada. I don't think he's that good at pass blocking but I could easily be wrong with him. I don't like Fluker either for the same reasons.

I hear ya, and acknowledge Warmack has his flaws when asked to get out on the move. But at this point I think a guy who can keep our QB on his feet and open holes at the point of attack in the running game should be welcomed with open arms. Personally I've got no problems with his pass blocking and I'm not sure you're going to find any scouting reports that have a problem with it either. In a perfect world it would be nice to be able to draft a guy like Warmack in the 2nd, but the difference between the top 2 guards, who we would have to take at 18, and the 2nd tier of guards in this draft is pretty drastic in my opinion.

I would disagree on the pass-blocking part of that statement.

I respect your opinion but I think Warmack will be a Pro Bowl player for a long time in the NFL.

I really believe he can play in any scheme; a true bluechip player.

I think the perceived drop off is more than what you're going to see on the field with some but I do agree they are the lowest risks.

See we don't disagree very often. :)

I agree he is low risk and likely to play for 10-12+ years but I just don't want him here. But like I said I won't have a hissy fit.

I'd be happy with Warmack, Logan, and Hill.
We have to get a S though, preferably Phillips or Reid.
I don't like Taylor for that fact that the odds of a RB that slow having success in the NFL is less than 10%....that plus our OL hasn't exactly blown running lanes open since Larry Allen played for us...not a good fit IMO.
Know noting about Vernon, I know we'll be targeting Boyce from TCU in the mid- to late rounds. I actually think that if someone at WR unexpectedly fell we'd consider in rounds 3 and 4.
This draft is odd for us also as it gives us two DTs when, if we take Logan early, we definitely need to focus on other positions and the 5th is where I see us looking at best available WRs, LBs/DEs, and/or OL.

Looking at the full mock on the site, I would swap out Logan at 80. i've seen Hill ranked ahead of Logan and they have us taking Hill a few rounds later.

Greene, Bailey, Frederick, Swearinger, Quessenberry, Kelce all on their board at 80.

I swear there are about 5 people in the world that question Warmack's ability to pass protect and they are all on this board.

Just found this great read by the way for anyone who is interested

I didn't say that he was terrible or where he ranked, just that he is not the best pass-blocker in this draft at OG.

Who would you say is the best pass blocking guard?
