A pyrrhic victory today damages long-term in this case by making ownership feel they do not need to do anything to fix this mess. It also hurts our draft pick for next season.

Maybe understand that this can hurt exactly the way you said. You saw how bad this team looks (against a bad team). A loss would have put Jerry under the gun starting this week. Now he has an out. He will use it all week. That is tantamount to a defeat based on what this team truly needs (which is hit rock bottom and force some sort of change). And that damages true long-term progress into an actual fully functioning NFL team (front office to the field).

Never apologizes for wins. At the end of the day it was two teams playing to not go 0-2. You can’t get caught up in how it looks.

Eberflus should have learned what Zimmer found out, they are a man cover team and are awful on zone coverage. Elam with those 10 yard cushions, Diggs looking totally lost, Wilson is terrible coverage safety

Well, I think being without Bland didn't exactly help our secondary, but I think some early confusion and struggles should have been expected. Philly couldn't take advantage of it last week, but a veteran like Wilson knew what to do when he got certain looks.

They pressed the outside coverage by sending an inside receiver into his zone, which the safety followed. However, the corners thought they were supposed to play the outside route and released their receiver expecting inside coverage to pick him up. Hopefully, they can get that cleaned up.

One thing, This was the best the Giants can play. They threw the sink at us. We took major haymakers. Giants gifted us nothing. We took it. We stopped them on money time 3 times in OT. Hard to do considering what they did all day.

30+ years without even a Championship game and this is what you come up with? With that defense showing today? We only won because Wilson was our best defender in OT (and the Giants are a bad team).

I now expect the "its not easy to win in the NFL" excuse.
