Did Bo even go to the combine? He didn't want to play football at first (coming out of college) so I don't see why he would of gone to the combine.

Hell, did they even have a combine (as it is today with electrical timers) back then?
I thought Bo's time was 4.12 which I thought at the time must have been a mistake in timing. The man ran through defenses like a man amongst children. Bosworth, a 4.5 guy, had no chance to even gain an angle on Bo during that famous MNF Raider/Seahawk game.

Bo didn't run a 4.12. NO ONE has ever ran a 4.12. Ever.

Had we been able to score on that last drive and win... Newman would have been the hero.

Yes, but Witten would also have been a hero, because he more than likely would have scored, and he made a big 3rd down play to keep the final drive going. I'm not ragging on Tnew's rundown on Moss, actually, I was impressed by his speed. I just think Witten is more than a dumpoff tightend, and Bledsoe, who is supposed to be famous for using his tightends, is making Witten the third read in the offense.

I don't think there is much debate. Bob Hayes is the fastest football player ever.

The fastest 100-meter time by a guy who played in the NFL was 9.95 seconds by Jimmy Hines in 1968. He played nine games for the Dolphins in 1969 and one for the Chiefs in 1970 but never did much.

Leonard Scott, who ran a 9.94 this year, went to training camp with the Bears in 2003 but was cut before the season started.

Hayes' fastest time was a 10.06.

Have you ever wondered how fast Hayes or Jesse Owens might have been with today's training and equipment?

Boggles the mind.

Hayes ran that time what 40 years ago - he'd blow away todays records if in his prime today - JMO

That final leg 4X100 was most impressive split I ever saw....

Carl Lewis 60 - 100 was amazing once he got going.....
