Well then you got a LOT of reconciling to do with reality. Good luck with that.

firehawk350;1540533 said:Ummmm, the only "unbiased" source you quoted is ESPN and they have Newman ranked 21 among the league's CBs.
It's an insider article, but you should be able to see the top 10 without an account and he's not there.

tomson75;1540539 said:You are aware that ESPN is notoriously anti-cowboys, right? You are aware that ESPN has more than one writer, or source, right? I'm simply showing you that by stating that there are NO sources that list Newman as a top 10 CB, you've made yourself look foolish. There are several, as I've pointed out, that I found within 30 seconds...I'm sure there are more.
Just FYI, Espn Scouts have not updated their rankings. If you look at the list, you'll see some of the players don't even have numbers next to them.firehawk350;1540533 said:Ummmm, the only "unbiased" source you quoted is ESPN and they have Newman ranked 21 among the league's CBs.

You're all the reson I need to avoid any "reality" that Commanders fans live in.
LatinMind;1540529 said:then why even attempt to argue in this thread, because thats what the first post was about. the economical impact of future newman contract. i see you're just the type of poster who wants to argue about anything.
firehawk350;1540551 said:Okay, you just keep on thinking that Newman is the second or third best corner in the league, that reality is considerably less populated then the one I live in.

Outside of that, do you really believe all these guys are better than Newman. Some of whom were injured thoughout 2006?

I don't need your help, because I'm not the one arguing he's top 5. Though I believe if Clements is there, then certainly Newman should be. Their numbers are virtually equal.firehawk350;1540561 said:Okay, the only ones that don't have numbers in front of their names in the top 10 is Nate Clements and Chris McAlister. If you think Newman is going to hop 15 places to take their places, I really can't help you.

Besides it's not about hopping 15 spaces. It's the fact that you used list this as a source when, in reality, it's not even complete. The list is bound to be shuffled if they do a review of 2006. There are guys who were injured, who missed games, and some, that are within the Top 10 who got beat like a drum last year. It's just a flawed list that shouldn't have even been used as a point of reference. Your bad.
firehawk350;1540564 said:Yes, they do. And they all seem to evolve into one of like 5 subjects here. Wade Phillips' D vs. Parcells' D. A Skins player vs. a Boys player. Romo's pro- or re-gression. JJ vs. MBIII. And if it's going to be a better defense or just more exciting.
It's a historic day!tomson75;1540571 said:Can't argue with you there.
Actually we haven't had that many skins player vs boys player threads this offseason.tomson75;1540571 said:Can't argue with you there.

We've had alot of general NFL stuff dominating the board. The dog threads, the suspension threads, nfl retiree threads, etc.
