It’s been that way since the last game Troy Aikman played. It takes a team but people don’t want to admit it.
It only takes a team when its a guy they like playing QB. They dislike Dak so everything is his fault. Its his fault they traded up for Mo Claiborne, traded for Roy Williams, traded for Joey Galloway and drafted Zeke.

You're making assumptions about the way I judge a QB. Win/loss record has no factor.

Have you backed off on your "Dak is better than Mahomes" stance?

For those that quoted my first post.

In the future when looking back at a season ending loss nobody goes through why Dallas lost, they just say Dallas lost. There is no reasoning, it's the final result.

Prescott being the QB gets judged by wins and losses no matter how they happen. That's how QBs are judged in the NFL, like it or not.

Prescott is 2-4 in playoff games. No one ever digs into how he is 2-4. He just is. Again, it's the final result.

...But for folks to push the narrative that Prescott's INT woes overshadowed all the great work he did under center is erroneous. He led the league's most prolific offense after he returned from injury and threw 23 touchdowns in 12 games. A big knock on Prescott since he became the starter has his been his deep ball accuracy, or lack thereof. Well, last season he ranked among the league's top deep-passing quarterbacks, according to Next Gen Stats.

Cowboys' Dak Prescott among NFL's best deep passers in 2022

Per Next Gen Stats, Prescott went 14-of-35 for 484 yards and five touchdowns to one interception on deep passes (115.2 passer rating), which are regarded as passes that travel 20-plus air yards. He completed 40% of his deep passes and had a 29.7% deep xComp, which is a QB's average "completion probability" that constitutes the level of difficulty of a set of passes.

Further, Prescott produced a deep completion percentage above expectation of +10.3% -- the difference between a QB's completion percentage and expected completion percentage -- and had a deep passing score of 99. That score not only cracked the top 10, but checked in at No. 4, higher than Josh Allen (No. 10), Joe Burrow (No. 9) and Patrick Mahomes (No. 6).

Here's a telling nugget from NFL Media's Nick Shook:"If you need one metric that illustrates a lack of downfield effectiveness from Dallas' passing game as a whole, look at Prescott's expected completion percentage on deep attempts, which fell short of 30. This suggests the Cowboys' lack of firepower helped opposing defenses limit Dallas' downfield opportunities."

Another disadvantage Prescott had to overcome throwing deep balls? CeeDee Lamb was the only Cowboys receiver who caught more than two deep passes. Despite that, Dak had the third-highest completion rate over expected. With the speedy Brandin Cooks, who's averaged 13.7 yards per reception in his career, joining the receiver room, and a rejuvenated and healthy Michael Gallup primed for a bounce-back season, it's not crazy to think Prescott could make a sizable jump in these rankings next season...

He threw for 200 yards 1TD and 2 picks to end the season. Led the team to 12 points. That's off the charts prolific proliftivity.
You are a union dues paying search for your own convenient whipping boy, but for the record, keep me off your comments list...and don't even get me wrong here, you suck on site.

You only know a one sided person insult for a discussion.

There are posts on site, that discuss each and every failure in the playoffs and what went wrong, mostly not inclusive of the quarterback, that denied the COWBOYS a victory in the playoffs. I see it you have an alternative...stay off the street or learn how to deal with lock-up?

First off the 1st half was basicly unproductive the first quarter. Why, Moore unable to adequately prepare and execute on the line with pressure? Where was the Head Coach's influence. Then the worst thing then that could happen, the Cowboys' running back was lost for the game. Important?

You can always try a ice cream bike cart on the beach...

I tell you up front, you go to the bank here and now and draw out enough to put it together, and I'LL do it! Smart guy...it can be in YOUR front yard.

You sure??? Where'd you get that from?
He's been parroting that line nonstop for months. He has had it argued day after day and day after day he pretends those arguments never happened and asserts it again.

He is what he is. Best to ignore or at least not replay at face value. Look at what he is doing as opposed to saying. The pattern is obvious.

Boy that sure sounds great. Yay for Dak!

But exactly how did that translate into playoff wins the last 2 years? That is far more important.
First, take that into a more logical source point to place blame. That is a strong showing and a responsible role for an on the field person.

Mistakes were made and the blame rests instead upon those who made key and game changing errors, and the coaching staff directly how the team prepares during a season to excell in the playoffs.
That doesn't hang on a single player that has performed grandly for two straight 12 win seasons.

I don't care how many donuts are passed around and who's on their cell phone.

Every off season all these articles are written how Prescott is amazing just look at the stats.

I've said this before, if Prescott leads the NFL in all passing categories and is voted MVP and Dallas loses in the playoffs because the offense under performs, no one will give two sheets about his numbers. That's where we are going into year eight. Put up or shut up. It's that simple.

Enjoy your stats.

He still produced with a weakened receiver group and injured rotating offensive line. Probably why Cowboy QB's get injured an awful lot lately with brutal hit injuries.
