It is not fair to put Star Wars in the same genre as Aliens :lmao2:

Also, would Scream be horror, thriller or comedy? :huh:
Star Wars should be in action/adventure. There's absolutely zero science in it. Star Trek has some scientific basis, so I'd possibly put that in Sci-Fi.

It is a subgenre of SciFi for sure but action/adventure sounds about right but I would put in fantasy to be honest. I hate Star Trek so it won’t be in any genre for me :laugh:

I love Star Trek, but I can understand why someone wouldn't like the original series. The Next Generation however, I don't see how anyone could hate. Different strokes, I guess. :)

Heck no. Perhaps. And naw.

On a personal note, I have strong opinion of what constitutes a horror film. There have never been any Scream-type movies that I have ever considered as horror..

I actually meant instead of raking 1-32, ranking 4 brackets of 8. But hey, you're the one doing all the work! lol
I kinda figured that and believe you are not the only one thinking that. However, I want to lessen as many variables of films have equal sum totals during the balloting process. Movies having the same rank in different brackets would increase those opportunities, so I am not in favor of it.

Scream = Slasher

Starship Troopers = Science Fiction

Keep in mind any of my opinions are my solely own and may not even agree with any mainstream definitions, including those held by sites I respect concerning the film industry.

5- The Thing(Sci-Fi/Horror)3
Which one? 1951? 1982? 2011? I assume 1982 but I have gotten into arguments with film buffs online who say the classic 1951 The Thing From Another World is the best version. Others have seriously suggested 2011's The Thing is equal to the 1982 movie. John Carpenter's The Thing is number one in my book.

Starship Troopers is really more of an Action/Adventure movie, I think. There's no science in it at all.
