Special Teams - Crayton
That's all the playing time he's going to see next year with TO or whichever studd reciever we bring in ontop of Key and Terry and Jason. He's the guy we let go in a year or two because there's no room for him and he goes onto another team and has his "breakout" year.

Offense - Rob Petitti and, and, and, and, and....our Rookie 1st Round OLinemen we get. Or maybe Julius for real. Maybe we'll see an entire dominant season from him. It's his third, bout time he got in his first full year.

Defense - Canty and Kieth Davis
I don't feel Spears will be very much for us other then a staple in our defense to "rely" on, not much more- Canty will leapfrog him this year. We will wish we had done everything we could to keep Ellis to go along with Canty. Then Keith Davis cause the boy can hit! He has the physical down, now Parcells will concetrate on bringing his mental up to speed this offseason. Just no way we add more dollars to that secondary with so many other greater concerns, so it's success relies on the one underdog stepping up to the plate in 06'.

Defense:

K Thorton; guy has some great speed and athleticism. gets and stays healthy and he could be the X factor at LB

M Spears: gets the NFL-thing figured out, gets adjusted, and becomes a terror ala Willie McGuinest

Roy Williams: We get rid of Zimmer, get a real coverage FS, and Roy gets to roam near the LoS again terrorizing the offense

Offense:

Julius Jones: Stays healthy, OL gets better, gets 1500

P Crayton: Stays healthy, becomes our clutch 3rd down WR

Others to Consider:
Terrell Owens :D
LeCharles Bentley

I think that kid "Pepper Johnson" wiil be very valuable and I also like Ratliff. On the offense, I believe Pettiti will improve tremendously and Julious will have a big year

you know what. I went to one game and things I saw from Keith Davis impressed me to no end. Hes a leader on the team, spiritually and emotionall. He walked throuh the Denver D linemen to get to our side of the field to wave his arms and get the corwd pumped up. He leads the team onto the field and in prayers and even had a few broncos in the final prayer circle right before the game.

Hes an ok player that could still get better, but I was not aware how much leadership hes assumed off the field. I think losing him would hurt the cowboys chemistry a little bit. Now if you are picking up Will Demps, I think we can live with Davis backing him up and special teaming it. But I am not sure I wanna lose Davis altogether till we get a cleary established leader type to replace him. Dont underestimate the power of chemistry.

two players on defense - Chris Canty and Jauques Reeves. two players on offense - i wish i could name two! This draft is deep in OL, we have several needs not just starters but for depth, and a few arguably overpriced veterans who we must soon part ways with. Next year i hope to be able to name two up and coming young OL...

it is awfully hard to be a break out player when you will be sitting on the bench most of 2006...

Offense:

Crayton
Peterman

Defense:

Burnett
Thomas "Pepper" Johnson

I think Pepper Johnson might really surprise some people. By the end of this season he was seeing some action and was always in the thick of things. He's extremely quick and plays with fire.

I've liked him since pre-season and I think he has a real good chance of coming out of nowhere to really play well. He has the ability to create a lot of negative plays for the offense.

Leadership and chemistry are good things, but when all is said and done, it's all about production. FS was one of the main reasons why we didn't make it to the playoffs this year (along w/ kicker & OL) and Davis should shoulder a lot of the blame (although not all).

Sure he can improve, but not quickly enough IMO. And you know w/ JJ & BP it's about NOW. We'll either draft a replacement or bring someone in via FA.

He could still be a major contributor on ST, tho.

Just my $.02
