Where abroad if I may ask? Parcells is still my favourite Cowboys coach just for us beating the Eagles in 2003 and the Texans in 2006 haha. Seeing us beat the Eagles in the playoffs is a fond memory too haha. Seeing us finally win a playoff game.

I was born in Dallas but spent age 7-17 abroad in Taiwan. As you can imagine, TV coverage of the NFL/Cowboys is essentially nonexistent there. I only got to follow Cowboys games first by reading an English newspaper after the game results were over, and then, later on, in the primitive days of NFL.com where one watched the little helmet icons marching downfield on a drive. Due to time zones, this also meant having to get up at 2 or 3 o'clock in the morning.

Since I never got to watch a football game on television until the 2002 Super Bowl (Bucs-Raiders,) and only had books or magazines to describe the game, I had to mentally envision what a football play looked like in my head. I turned out to be surprisingly accurate; the game on television quite closely resembled what I had imagined.

I don't recall much about the refs in 2016 but I do remember our defense getting torched.

You've never seen a Cowboys team with a championship-caliber defense. 31 points is more than enough to win.

2016 was the one where there was that penalty on the WR on a substitution that hadn't been called in ages. Also, David Irving got absolutely tackled on the play that set up the GW FG. If it had been called, we probably go to OT. And the closest I've seen to us having a good defence would probably be when we had Parcells and Phillips coaching us.

This is almost like the Packers-Steelers Super Bowl a decade ago, in the sense that the referees don't know whom to favor. Rodgers or Brady?

just turned the game on thinking it started at 3:30, watched the packers go 99 yards, not sure I want to keep the game on

Ah yes. That would make that difficult.

First time in my life: I’m rooting for the GB Packers

There will never be a first time for me concerning that.

You guys rooted for the Steelers when they played in the SB at Jerryworld?
