hmmm...coming from a guy who has a picture with Conan O'Brien.

Does he even know that you're alive? Is that the greatest accomplishment in your life...you getting a picture with him? Are you his stalker?

I realize "accomplishments" are something Philly fans are unfamiliar with - but try to tone down the jealousy.

Not sure I understand, but I did go to public schools.....If we are the 3 seed and The Bears are the 1, and Seattle is the 2...If the Bears lose, and Seattle wins would we not go to Seattle? Why are you saying it doesn't matter if we are the 2 or 3? Educate me please! :shake:

Scenario 1:
If we're the #3 seed (and win the wild card game) we go to the #2 seed for the conference semifinal. If we win that game and Chicago loses their semifinal game then we host the conference final.

Scenario 2:
If we're the #2 seed after the bye we host the conference semifinal game. If we win that game and Chicago loses their semifinal game then we host the conference final.

Result:
It doesn't matter if we're the #2 or #3 seed ... either way as long we win we will host the conference final if Chicago loses.

Jealousy?

I don't think so.

#1 - Seattle just isn't that good. They have also played an incredibly easy schedule.

#2 - Seattle had some key injuries including Shaun Alexander

#3 - Chicago has been playing a lot worse now then they were when they played Seattle.

#4 - Grossman is actually playing much worse in cold weather. That's not good for a starting QB in Chicago.

Personally, I think both Seattle and Chicago will be one and done in the playoffs. If Grossman turns the ball over 3-4 times in the playoffs, they will lose.

I hope you're right. I guess I'm just a little cautious by nature. They're playing much worse now. I just have visions of a bone crunching defense in the freezing January Chicago cold. That doesn't seem to inviting. Besidesit's hard for me to get past the Saints. Also, I feel like I'm dreaming right now. Maybe I don't realize how good we actually are or can be. It's been so long since we've had a legitimate shot at going all the way. This all feels strange to me.

LOL no not flying under radar... but we are not feared 100% yet... soon though... hehehe

Denver... well they forced Jay to turn it over and won via the D.
I think that Brett gave them that game last week. They should have lost.

I agree with the quote I dont think Seattle could beat Chicago in Chicago...

Well, as Ron Burgundy said in Anchorman, agree to disagree! On the Denver excuse that Seattle forced Jay to turn it over...Isn't that precisely what I said Seattle could do to Grossman? That is exactly, and about the only way, Chicago wins games. Grossman had a 1.3 QB rating for heavens sake. You can't not give credit for the Seattle defense forcing turnovers. Where would we be if the Panthers hadn't given us the ball 2 times in the last 10 minutes of that game? Grossman is a turnover waiting to happen, and for that reason I think Seattle can beat them. Hey, it doesn't matter to me as long as we beat whoever we play.

Couple of observations:

1) Chicago has good talent on offense. Grossman's just been playing like crap. If he keeps playing like crap or Lovie and company don't wise up, realize they have great defense/spec teams and go to a short passing offensive game plan so Rex doesn't continue trying to give games away, the Bars will continue to be vulnerable. It's a matter of time.

2) But if over the course of the next four weeks Rex rediscovers how defenses are read and accurate passes are thrown, the Bars will be a very, very, very tough out.

3) The Bar defense puts a lot of pressure on the opposing QB, but they're not as spectacular against the run. A team with a good ground game and an elusive, accurate QB would give them some trouble, regardless of where the game is played. Can anyone think of a team meeting the aforementioned criteriae?

I agree with this. I wouldn't feel too good having to hope for IF'S with my starting QB, but you are correct IF he can figure that out they will be very hard to beat! I think that the Cardinals, believe it or not, gave us the blueprint for beating the Bears. They used short underneath completions to neutralize the pass rush, and chewed up yardage on them really easily. AT LEAST IN THE FIRST HALF!

I think the only way they win is if Brian Griese or some other qb replaces Grossman at qb. They would be better off if the traded for Bledstein and just let him get sacked on every play. It's a lot easier to overcome multiple turnovers playing Detroit, Green Bay, Minnesota, Buffalo, Arizona, and San Francisco.

Bottomline is that we need to win out and get the #2, or else the road to the SB is probably going to go through either Seattle or Chicago.
There's much more possibility for the NFC Championship Game to go through New Orleans. There's more of a chance that it would go through Seattle before it goes through Dallas. The Seedings are #1 Chicago, #2 New Orleans, #3 Seattle, #4 Dallas. Whether the 'Boys fans want to admit it or not your 4 losses have had a more of an impact of our 4 losses. See 3 of our losses are to AFC teams, which gives us a better Conference record therefore we currently own the tie breaker.

If the playoffs started today, Cowboys would have to play the Giants again, yes the GMen.

There's a great site that I use to visually see my team's chances. It's amazing go check it out. Link

I would have loved to see our teams face off, with my Saints at full health, but the world doesn't work that way. Remember these aint yo daddy's Saints. We have amazing depth at all positions, these Saints never give up. See ya Sunday....Good Luck!!!

We are not looking to finish with same record as you. We are looking to one up the saints record. So sweep this post under the rug with the rest of the dirt.

It's not dirt...all fact. Can't handle the Facts???

I was just trying to throw it out there that there's more of a chance that the NFC Championship goes through New Orleans than Seattle or Dallas. We have a better chance of winning the #2 spot.

(Ive heard talk about a Dallas hard scedule, I wouldn't exactly call the Titan,Cardinals,Bucs, a hard schedule...just to put that out there..... And I've heard smack about us having the Cowboys rejects, well the Cowboys' rejects currently hold the first round bye while the real Cowboys are sitting at #4)

As I thought I made it clear...I wish My team would have been healthy for Sunday's game.

I got this idea from a post by Big Dog, when he speculated the NFC Championship game might very well be held in Dallas, since its quite possible the Bears will drop their playoff game. When I think about it, IF we can get the first round bye and homefield for our first game, I would give us very good odds. I STILL don't think the Bears are balanced enough to get deep into the playoffs. I'm thinking right now, if i had to make a bet, I would bet the NFC Championship is held in Dallas, and if so, I like our chances...
Dont wake me up........... :)

let's beat new orleans and win our division first.

but for arguments sake, it will require chicago to lose in round two, b/c their remaining schedule is a cake walk.

Aren't you glad YOUR team is healthy for Sunday's game. You can't possibly question me being a fan. It's my home team, Been a fan since I can remember. I'm no bandwagoner, they jumped off last month.

In all honesty, do you think your team has a chance with Colston, Horn, Bush, Smith & Thomas all at 100%?.................I think not.

Where would Dallas be w/out T.O. or T Glenn?

TO and Glenn dont account for our defense being 4th overall.

Try again.

Do you realize that conference record doesn't mean anything between Dallas and the Saints because we play each other, and only 1 time.

Whomever wins this game between us will have the tiebreaker. Conference records won't mean anything between Dallas and the Saints. Lose this week and your conference record being better than Dallas' means nothing if we end up with the same record. Unless maybe if we end up in a 3-way tie at the end with Seattle. Then and only then would the Saints' better conference record mean anything.
