After the sunday collapse and injury situation, the consensus has the Cowboys finishing behind Green Bay, setting up the potential rematch at Lambeau Field in January.

Unless Green Bay falters in the next two games, Dallas will have a significant task at Washington, who may be fighting for the final remaining wild card spot.

The guys at the NFL New York offices would <<LOVE>> a Cowboys @ Packers NFC Championship game at Lambeau in January.

At least Dallas controls their own destiny, you can’t ask for more than that. GB on the other hand has to win out and hope that Dallas loses. I like our position better than theirs.

I am a big NY Mets fan. I liked their position too with 7 games left in the season. That went real well. Maybe you guys could feel some of the pain I felt in September. :D The only difference is that the Mets did not get into the playoffs and had the ultimate collapse. Dallas will get into the playoffs regardless. I still say that an IceBowl II would be epic.

If Dallas plays like they did last week then chances are we won't go far. I expect the Cowboys to come out and take care of their business. As for playing another Ice Bowl I hope that is not the case because I would rather see a game where the winner is based on performance not who handles the cruddy conditions the best. That original Ice Bowl game sucked because Dallas was built on speed and on that day our speed was negated by elements not the ability of the Packers

The Cowboys have one divisional opponent left on the schedule, while Green Bay has two - I'd say I like our odds of winning out far more than theirs.

I think the Packers will lose at Chicago.

I hope so, but I doubt it.

They have no offense to speak of and they have some atrocious play at the Quarterback position.

Even with a healthy Rex Grossman, and this may be a stretch, but I still think the Bears may have the worst quarterbacks in the NFL.

I agree. I think any chance the Bears have will be because their defense created turnovers and special team makes some big plays.

If there is an Ice Bowl 2, who has the advantage? I'd like to think the Packers, however, when I think about their offense and how it revolved around a precision passing attack with 3 to 5 recievers on the field at any given time and I'm not so sure the Cowboys might be better suited to playing in the elements. Oddly, the Packers are built for artificial turf more than anything else with all those jitterbug recievers like Driver and Jennings.

If we have to play in Green Bay in horrible conditions and the game comes down to our O-Line and Front 7 - we should be ashamed if we lose.

I don't know, that is why they call it home field advantage. Teams are just built to play on their surfaces. Dallas teams have always been built for speed. Maybe one day they will move the NFC/AFC Championship to a neutral field. That would be interesting.....Those games typically are better than the Super Bowl anyway....

It will be interesting to see how it plays out, but I don't think those divisional games will be easy for the Packers. Not will the Panthers and Commanders be easy for the Cowboys.

True that is why they call it HFA and while I hate seeing championship games played in horriable conditions. I would much rather see 2 teams facing each other with the outcome determined by who played the best not who overcame the conditions the best. As for a neutral field I don't think that will happen because I do think the team with the best record deserves to play in front of their home crowd.

Chicago will give Green Bay all they can handle. REcords can be thrown out when these two teams meet. Chicagos Super Bowl is this Sunday. It was good to see them play on MOnday. Hopefully they are still sore from that game.....

Nope. They have beaten Green Bay on the road a couple of times over the years (1978, 1991), but those games were played in Milwaukee, not at Lambeau in Green Bay.

Some luck must have been involved in the Cowboys not winning at Lambeau -- the Packers were pretty bad from the early 70s to the late 80's and correspondingly the Cowboys were pretty good. Probably more coincidence than anything else that those Cowboys - Packers games played at the time in Wisconsin happened to be in Milwaukee instead of Lambeau.
