As it stands now, the playoff location is ours to lose...let's just hope we don't actually lose it to the Packers or anyone else.

that is a strange conclusion to come to, due tell.

However, the Cowboys are undefeated on the road.
FloridaRob;1844627 said:and you point being???? The IceBowl is when I became a fan. Could not tell you if it was during the game or at the end of the game. What difference does it make? At least I have never wavered like many teams fans (including some BAndwagon Cowboy fans)
juckie;1844684 said:Seriously, why are u wasting ur time on a cowboys board?u must be bored.
Oh_Canada;1844774 said:I like the Cowboys chances better playing in Lambeau....we're bigger up front and Marion Barber is a better back the Ryan Grant.
FloridaRob;1844577 said:grew up in Sw Louisiana in a family full of Cowboy fans. It was too cold to go outside so I watched the IceBowl with my Dad and brothers and being the youngest (at the time) I decided to be a rebel. I pulled for the Packers that day just to harass them and when Starr won the game at the end, I was hooked for good. Have not jumped off the bandwagon since.
As far as the Mets go, again it was the underdog mentalilty. The worse team in the league goes to being the best. I pulled for the underdog--- became a Met fan. Their dry seasons have been as long between as the Packers.
I know I am glad I am not a Saints fan or a Bucs fan, or an Astro fan or a Marlin fan. That would really be depressing.....
theebs;1844796 said:I totally get that. believe it or not I became a cowboys fan as a kid from watching the nfl films superbowl shows. I am 31, when I first started watching football in like 81 or 82 I guess I didnt realize Dallas was a Successful franchise.
The only thing I knew as a kid was I liked the guy with that funny hat and I wanted to see them win, watching them lose on those highlights against the steelers I thought they were this tremendous underdog and that fit my mentality then and now.
Of course In a few years I realized Dallas was like a hated franchise for its glitz and glamour and its winning. But to me to this day it is still not like that.
anyway, ever been to shea stadium? What a dump!!! If you havent dont bother!!
FloridaRob;1844845 said:never been to Shea and never had a desire to go. I will go down to Miami and watch them play the Marlins. Last spring I went to Atlanta the first weekend of the season and watched them play the Braves in 30 degree weather. Brr... Saw them play the 86 series in the Astrodome. (game 6 of that year is the best game I have seen in person or on TV) 16 innings of nail biting moments.
Been to Lambeau 3 times. Incredible experience.
I drove around Texas Stadium one year when I took the kids to Six Flags. That was out in the middel of nowhere-At least it seemed that way then.
