As it stands now, the playoff location is ours to lose...let's just hope we don't actually lose it to the Packers or anyone else.

so your a packers fan living in Florida who also likes the mets??

that is a strange conclusion to come to, due tell.

grew up in Sw Louisiana in a family full of Cowboy fans. It was too cold to go outside so I watched the IceBowl with my Dad and brothers and being the youngest (at the time) I decided to be a rebel. I pulled for the Packers that day just to harass them and when Starr won the game at the end, I was hooked for good. Have not jumped off the bandwagon since.

As far as the Mets go, again it was the underdog mentalilty. The worse team in the league goes to being the best. I pulled for the underdog--- became a Met fan. Their dry seasons have been as long between as the Packers.

I know I am glad I am not a Saints fan or a Bucs fan, or an Astro fan or a Marlin fan. That would really be depressing.....

Translation: You went with the Packers AFTER they won that game. Got it, thanks.

and you point being???? The IceBowl is when I became a fan. Could not tell you if it was during the game or at the end of the game. What difference does it make? At least I have never wavered like many teams fans (including some BAndwagon Cowboy fans)

Interesting.

However, the Cowboys are undefeated on the road.

Hmm, and if they remain undefeated on the road, they'll get to play all playoff games at home.

I like the Cowboys chances better playing in Lambeau....we're bigger up front and Marion Barber is a better back the Ryan Grant.

I would think posting on any message board could be looked at as "wasting time". Of course getting an opinion on my favorites teams main competition for the Super Bowl this year is somewhat interesting. OF course I could go to Packer board and post the same thing everybody else is posting,

1-The Packers are Great
2-Favre is the greatest QB and deserves the MVP
3-Packers were robbed on the Pro bowl voting
4-Packers are teh REal Americas TEam :D
5-Packer fans are the most passionate about their team
6-Packers are the bestest in everything
7 The Bears Suck
8-The Vikings Suck
9-The Patriots Suck

That to me is more boring but to each their own.

If I bother you, just put me on ignore. I will get over it....

And Adrian Peterson is better than either one and he didnt do too good last time he was in Lambeau.

The cold would affect both teams passing game but Dallas has more of a downfield passing game. Won't be any 50 yrd bombs by either team in that game. Packers have more of a short passing game and their yards after catch are better than anybody. (Maybe NEw England is better, I am not 100% sure) It would be a close low scoring game tho. Not a 60 pt track meet like last time.....

I totally get that. believe it or not I became a cowboys fan as a kid from watching the nfl films superbowl shows. I am 31, when I first started watching football in like 81 or 82 I guess I didnt realize Dallas was a Successful franchise.

The only thing I knew as a kid was I liked the guy with that funny hat and I wanted to see them win, watching them lose on those highlights against the steelers I thought they were this tremendous underdog and that fit my mentality then and now.

Of course In a few years I realized Dallas was like a hated franchise for its glitz and glamour and its winning. But to me to this day it is still not like that.

anyway, ever been to shea stadium? What a dump!!! If you havent dont bother!!

never been to Shea and never had a desire to go. I will go down to Miami and watch them play the Marlins. Last spring I went to Atlanta the first weekend of the season and watched them play the Braves in 30 degree weather. Brr... Saw them play the 86 series in the Astrodome. (game 6 of that year is the best game I have seen in person or on TV) 16 innings of nail biting moments.

Been to Lambeau 3 times. Incredible experience.

I drove around Texas Stadium one year when I took the kids to Six Flags. That was out in the middel of nowhere-At least it seemed that way then.

Is Marion Barber better than Ryan Grant? I'm not so sure that's the case. I like what I see of Ryan Grant since he became the starter.

yeah texas stadium is in irving, just on one of the highways from Dallas to Arlington-fort worth. Six flags is in north arlington, the ballpark and in 2009 the new cowboys stadium are there as well.

that is cool you went to that game 6. there were alot of good players on those astros teams, its amazing they never could win the national league.

the mets, cardinals and dodgers were pretty loaded in those days too though..so i guess I shouldnt be suprised.
