Nah save me the embarrassment. I would rather die than live through a game like this as a fan.

Hopefully you were not suicidal after that abomination versus GB last year. Getting bent over at home as a 2 seed versus a barely 0.500 GB team was far more embarrassing than getting handled by a 2 seed on the road after two inspiring playoff road victories. Washington had a magical season after the Snyder era died.

The giants were fools for letting Barkley free to sign
I don’t know. Barkley is getting some big holes and is several yards downfield before first contact. Coordinators call what’s effective. If they aren’t calling running plays it’s because the team isn’t good at it.
True but when you have a Barkley at RB the OL plays harder for a guy like him.
Imo

I like the job Quinn did but clearly his defense scheme is not designed to stop the run. Washington was ranked 25th in run stopping which is about the same as it was in Dallas.

The correct decision was to either let jones and Barkley go or keep barkley

But letting him go wasn’t all bad because he was often injured there

I was literally crying for Detroit to pound the rock….they did but then did too many trick plays

Washington’s run defense is so bad

It all feeds on itself. Better running leads to a better passing game and vice versa. Sad that Steele hasn't been the same since the injury. Our OL coach selection is going to have a big impact on how Shotty's time goes here.

After the 1Q, I projected the Eagells score to be 56 at the end. I was close. It was 55.
I had a feeling this game was too much for Washington after each had the ball. Washington needed all these 3rd and 4th down conversions. Used half the 1st qtr and Quinn played scared and kicked a FG on 4th and 3, something they went for constantly through the season. Eagles get the ball back and score in one play. It set the tone that Washington would need all their energy to try and score any points and Eagles would score with ease and sure enough, that is how it unfolded.

Washington is like the cinderella team who was fortunate to keep advancing in the March Madness but at some point, would get blown out. Washington was very fortunate to beat Tampa in wild card and then scored a lot against the Detroit IR defense. Eagles have been the best team in the NFC all season, regardless of Detroit's record.

For the life of me what I don't understand is why Washington went on it on 2 - 4th downs (don't think either was short) on the first drive, and the second 4th down conversion they were in field goal range. Then, get a 4th and short getting close to the red zone, they decide to kick the field goal?

If you're going to have the gonads to run 2- 4th downs, have the gonads to run the 3rd 4th down when it's short.

I agree, I think Det and their trick plays cost them. They had an outstanding run game and should have focused more on that.
