Cowboys better not get all fat and happy just yet. It's a long season and the other three division teams all got quality wins. There isn't a crappy team in the NFC East. Division games you would look at and pencil in as a loss for that team weeks ago, now seem within reach. Gotta keep grinding.

Washington beats Vikings 5-3
Eagles beat Falcons 6-3
Giants beat Bengals 3-4

Giants and Washington have home games this week.

Washington against a fading GB team.
Giants against a bad Chicago team and will probably be 7-3 after this week.

I think it comes down to the Giants and Cowboys. I see Wash. and Philly losing this week. Commanders were not that impressive against the Vikes, and GB can still put up some points and Philly plays Seattle in Seattle.

No it won't and I have no idea what the rest of the NFC East is. Hard to tell how good any of these teams are yet.

I have been trying to tell people this for a month. The giants had a stretch of 5 weeks without a road game and the road game they do play november 27th is at cleveland. When they beat the rams they set themselves up for a great finish.

They are going to kill the bears and the browns. Then they will play a desperate steelers team like we did. Hopefully the steelers pull it out, at worst the giants will be 8-4 when we roll in there but I imagine they are 9-3 and our whole season rests on beating them in ny.

or we could get 2007 in reverse. They beat us twice and we end up the five seed and have to go back up there and beat them in the third game.

The team that wins the east will have to have at least 12 wins

We fans think ahead like this, but I agree with JG that team should enjoy how they approach each game and continue fighting for each other and everything will take care of itself

We are talking about a Dallas team that, according to this forum, had a bad draft, devastating injuries, suspensions, idiot coaches and GM, bad chemistry, tough schedule, horrible defense, and ugly uniforms----relax and enjoy; we have already exceeded expectations. The best thing is that this team is not complacent and satisfied--they want to win it all. They want to win each game.

We will struggle but this cowboy team has a head of steam that nobody wants to step in front of even in the NFC east. Getting some of the troops back will help immensely. I like our chances heads up against all our upcoming opponents. Every NFC east game starts even no matter what record we bring to the table, they are played unlike any of our other opponents. I believe every other team in the NFC east is focused in on us while we quietly scheme for the Ravens. We scare the you know what out of them.

Cowboys 2nd offense 9th defense

Last weeks power ranking per Aikman November 8th

11 Ravens 32th offense 2nd defense : off 10 days till they play the boys
12 Skins 14th offense 26th defense :
13 Vikes 28th offense 4th defense : Lions play Vikes on thursday like us we play them one week later on thursday we both have 7 days between games
14 Giants 29th offense 8th defense : Steelers play Giants week before and we play 10 days after our last game
15 Bucs 17th offense 27th defense : Chargers playing bucs week before our game
16 Lions 9th offense 28th defense : Playing Bears week before our game
17 Eagles 20th offense 3rd defense : Playing Giants week before our game

wouldn't want it any other way. Will keep the team sharp and focused for the stretch. yes, there's a chance they could lose the division, and yes, there's a chance they could lose in NY, and yes, that could mean a wild card game. But, after seeing them up close and personal the last 2 weeks this is a very good and confident team. 16-5 in last 21 road games. 29-20 on the road under Garrett. Have dominant run game, that does travel.

When Romo went down and after I saw how well Dak played.
I was getting pounded in the office - Cowboys are gonna #$%^$#.
I had enough guts to tell them I'll bet $500 the Cowboys win at least 7 games this year.
That shut them up. And now they're behind the Cowboys looking at the Steam roller coming to their Stadium.

We are in control of everything right now. and we are playing and looking better than the other NFC teams. Seattle is the closest to playing as we are. And I think we can run on them.
It comes down to how our D holds up.

I will not take any of that for granted. As I am concerned a bit, because the NFCE teams can win any games also in spite of how well they look or how bad they look in any game. Because the rest of the NFC are just like them. Any team can win any game.

We just need to keep winning. Beating NY will be key, but I think we can do it. We lost by one point with 2 rookies starting, and they are much better now. We were 5 yards away or 3 seconds short from a Dan Bailey FG attempt to be 9-0. We should have Barry back by that game, and hopefully Mo.

Win the next game is the focus, and longer term, win the next 3. And we all will feel so much better. Chances are NY loses one game, probably at Pittsburgh.
But I will not count on anything.

Simple math. We are 8-1 if we fall on hard times and only manage 4-3 over the last 7 games we will be 12-4. In order for the Giants to reach 12-4 they would have to finish 6-1. The Skins would have to finish 7-0 to reach 12 wins and the same is true for Philly. While it is possible I just don't see us finishing any worse that 12-4. I am more concerned about losing home field advantage to Seattle than I am about losing NFC East.

i understand but the rankings do not matter. Its about matchups. The giants matchup extremely well and that is by design. they have already shown they can stop our running game. We are much better than we were in week 1, zeke is a different player but at the same time there defense is playing at a higher level also.

Plus they have the advantage once again of being the underdog. Everytime we get in this situation the giants get to sit back and be the underdog and the ny papers have already started their Dallas isn't really that good and we are better stuff.

Its just like 07. Like I said maybe this is the year they win the division and we end up the 5 and go back up there and beat them.

I really want this team to get the bye. Having the games at our stadium would be huge this year. I am not too excited about trying to stop the atlanta or detroit passing game in a do or die situation.

Did anyone take the bet?

BTW, Dak has been great.
But this team wins 7 games with any of the QBs they trotted out there last year.
People forget, they lost a ton of one score games and even some in OT.
Adding Zeke with the improved defense would have put them over the top in many of those.

Zak just makes it much better still....so they already have 8 with 7 left!

Looking at the east I think the big challenge will be the Giants but by the same token the way Eli throws ints I think it will catch up to him and NY.
