Any apprehension they may have in committing to Pollard is understandable since Pollard has yet to exceed 200 carries in a season. They certainly don’t want to pay Pollard like a full-time RB if he proves to be nothing more than a part-time RB.

At 6-foot, 209 pounds, Pollard isn’t diminutive nor slight, by any means. He’s not stout or mettle-tested either. Maybe Pollard can increase his workload as the new RB1 but if it comes at the cost of his explosiveness, is it worth it?

The answer is probably no.

You still even get up with the sun? I was on 12 hour shifts at 73 and am coming up 74.
What we all have accomplished or sacrificed in our real lives really are irrelevant to discussing our Cowboys?
Best of luck to you bud but not really interested in your life story.....no offense.

Lol, I think you may be a little confused. Depth matters in the nfl…. Especially at RB. Gone are the days of one workhorse back.
Depth at RB is the same for just about every team - those players are all so similar there's really no point in ranking them. The only thing that differentiates one RB room from another is the lead back.

Detroit was thinking that they just drafted Jamar Gibbs dude.
That was dumb thinking taking a RB with a high first round pick. They could have got a prime time DE to pair with their other stud DE. One of the top CBs or college footballs best player last year in Jalen Carter and they use it on a RB? They could have grabbed the top OLine Tackle prospect. Then to back up that pick taking another dime a dozen position in MLB. I really don't like their strategy.

Tony Pollard is the lead back finally for the Dallas Cowboys, but they're no longer the top running team in the NFC East.

3. Dallas Cowboys

Tony Pollard, Deuce Vaughn, Malik Davis, Ronald Jones
This means it's Pollard's show and while he has the potential to do great things in a lead role, he's also coming off a broken fibula. So far, there's no concern about this in 2023 but the depth behind him is questionable.

Malik Davis looked impressive as a rookie but the former undrafted free agent from Florida is still inexperienced overall. Ronald Jones is there and he has a lot of experience, even gaining 978 yards for the Super Bowl champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2020. However, he's coming off a 70-yard campaign with the Chiefs and might not even make the 53-man roster.

The one player who could change their fortunes is Deuce Vaughn, a sixth-round pick from Kansas State. He has the potential to produce some highlight-reel plays but pinning their hopes on a late-round pick to be a difference-maker might not be a great bet.

Eagles are Number 1, not a surprise!

I am not sure about him being lead back. But not a huge choice unless a rookie stands out.
